Lite SeaSalt?

-Well, Jean....we also use sea salt...but someone told me that is a

hype...that ALL salt comes from the sea. What do ya all think?

Kathleen,

 

I understand that sea salt is harvested from seawater through

evaporation. Table salt is from rock salt, which is mined from

mineral deposites.

 

I still wonder about the purity of sea salt considering the polluted

state of our oceans.

Correct Morton is right on the Great Salt Lake,

however the salt is mined from the Bonneville Salt

Flats, residue from Lake Bonneville, an acient lake.
