Hi Rhonda, welcome to the group! I believe that the magnesium oil is only for topical use on the skin, or can be used in a bath. I personally wouldn't recommend it for use in the mouth on the gums. I have a problem also with receding gums but I'm trying other methods to help them. As I mentioned in my mag oil posting, it will sting on cuts, in eyes or sensitive areas. Some have to dilute it with water or aloe vera gel, but we don't, we like the full strength results for muscles. If you've ever flossed and then used Crest whitestrips afterwards, you'll know how uncomfortable the stinging is on gums (hydrogen peroxide, sodium ingredients). I'm not sure how much benefit I'll get from it, but I started oil- pulling over a month ago with Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. There are supposed to be lots of benefits including gum health from oil-pulling. The recommended oils are cold pressed sunflower or sesame, but I like the flavor of the coconut oil. If anyone has a good remedy for receding gums, I would also appreciate the advice. Thanks, Jean

Guest guest
Hi Jean I am still new in the group. Dr Maira Moratto recommended this group to me. Anyways I love shring whatever little I know. I just wrote a reply to Lisa's query on tooth abcess. A formula is being solf but I find it far too expensive to buy and the postage to Malaysia is even more than the price of the formula. I am trying to make my own. Tooth and Gum Formula Ingredients: Echinacea, Bayberry, Oak bark, Cayenne, Tea tree oil, Clove oil, and Peppermint oil. Be sure to shake well before each use. 10 oz Echinacea Tincture 1/4 cup of Tea Tree Oil (you can use less of this if sensitive to it as some people are) 4 oz. Bayberry Tincture 2 oz. Oak Gall (or 3X Oak Bark) Tincture 2 TBS. Cayenne Tincture 2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Peppermint Oil 2 1/2 Dropperfuls of Clove Oil I am not affiliated. Please evaluate for yourself. Thanks for your tooth/gum formula. Do you recommend just rubbing this mixture on the gums at night? Jean
