Has anyone seen the trailer for " Raw For 30 Days " ? It's a documentary

about six people, who normally eat fast food, who decide to go 100%

raw for a month. It features interviews with doctors, experts, and

raw foodists including Gabriel Cousens, David Wolfe, and Woody

Harrelson.

I am new to raw foods and very interested in hearing from others who

are raw foodists and people who are trying to change their lives for

the better. Many people in my family have diabetes and I have changed

my diet and gone raw to prevent myself from also getting diabetes.

The trailer on Youtube at:

There is also a new two-disc DVD set that is available for order

called RAW FOR LIFE, which is a encyclopedia of Raw Food, perfect for

beginners like me and Raw Food enthusiasts. I have found it to be

very helpful, as I have been transitioning to raw foods. It's about

how to live raw, the Raw Food philosophy, why to eat a raw food diet,

important medical facts and nutritional information. It's a very

practical guide to becoming raw and staying raw.

Visit the Raw For 30 Days site at:

Another great resource I have found is the Raw Summit site, which is

at:

www.rawsummit2.com

I joined for the first Raw Summit and found it very helpful and

interesting and it's FREE!

Who here is raw?

My mother used the Raw Food diet 15 years ago to detox

from liver cancer caused by mercury fillings in her

teeth. She lost quite a bit of weight with it also.

She is cancer free today. We also used the diet to get

my son, who was 3 at the time, into remission from a

very serious blood disorder caused by bad antibodies.

So how long did your mother and son stay on the raw diet?? that seems

pretty convincing.

My mother was on it for a quite a while. My son for

only a few months. We still try to eat as much raw as

possible and very little meat products, no beef, pork

or other red meats. We do eat chicken and fish when

affordable.

I feel it saved both their lives..so I'm convinced.

I personally think its an excellent idea. But it is something you have

to work up to doing. Our taste buds are so warped by processed foods

that it takes a while to get used to all raw. It is part mental and

part physical. It makes perfect sense though, our bodies are made of

living enzymes so we need to feed it living enzymes. I am personally

embarking on a new journey of all or mostly raw. At 46 years of age my

body is screaming for it. My 2 cents. Daphne

Hello, I went to an almost 100 percent raw food diet a couple of

years ago and caused some permanent damage to a particular part of my

body (without going into too much detail here) due to a severe

cleansing reaction. Raw food is very powerful and really is a form of

medicine.

I'm keeping a 28-day non-graphic, colon/intestinal, detox blog on my

site, and in the very first entry, I detail what happened going all

raw that quickly.

And actually, the reason I had such an adverse cleansing reaction is

because when the raw food started to detoxify my body, it couldn't

get out the normal way (i.e. the colon/intestines) because they were

too clogged with toxic matter themselves!

As such, it's really important that you do a colon/intestinal cleanse

first before going raw. I learned the hard way unfortunately!

If you get a chance you may want to check out my blog and read the

first entry, in particular!

All the best,

Sunder Kaur (AKA Melanie Elizabeth), M.A., Ph.D. Candidate
