Guest guest
A Filipino friend introduced me to Bitter Melon. The Phillipine government recognizes that most of their country cannot afford drugs. That being the case, the Phillipine government advises Type II diabetics to use Bitter Melon instead of diabetic drugs, whose principle side effect is often death by fatal heart attack. Bitter Melon is sold in Asian groceries and looks like a wrinkled cucumber. To eat it, you slit it in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds (they get red and slimy as the melon gets old), and then slice it. Boil briefly until cooked, and then eat 1/3 of the melon for breakfast, another third for lunch, and the final third with dinner. The boiling takes away the bitterness. You could buy bitter melon tea, but the fresh melon is stronger. Bitter melon also has anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-parasitic effects. It is commonly eaten in Asia and South America. Guest guest
Do you actually live in Romania? If so, why don't you use inositol powder, 1 gram with each meal, instead? There is a local chiropractor in my area who is curing diabetes with it. Guest guest
Mariana, Do you mean you are living in Romania? ( " From " as used here generally means you come from a place but now live elsewhere.) If so, can you find an Asian food store or an acupuncture/herb studio? Is there an Asian neighborhood in a city near you?
