Guest guest
Hi Jena, Make sure you are not over weight. I had it and dropped 60 lbs, and started a daily exercise schedule and it is completely gone. If you are of normal weight and hopefully " healthy " comes along with that package, then you can roll a tennis ball under your foot to help stretch out the ligaments. Putting it in a hot spa can help, or cold water (everyone seems to react differently to each, you will have to see what works for you). Arch supports etc .... google it .. you will find lots of feedback : ) ttys Lisa - " jena beckman " <jenabeckman Sunday, October 14, 2007 8:48 PM Plantar fascitis Any body have much experience with Plantar fascits? I found it helpful to massage my foot in the morning after waking when it was most painful to walk on. I don't know much about it technically, but it's a strain of the ligament found in the arch of the foot connecting the heel to the ball of the foot. I work on concrete floors on my feet all day and I found that quality insoles also help. I started a quick massage with magnesium oil to the area before work in the mornings, and the pain has been minor for a long time now. Keeping the foot up also helps, and I also take MSM 1,000 mg daily which may be relieving the pain by reducing the inflammation. Guest guest
i suffer terribly with plantar fascitis. tried everything then went to a podiatrist. the condition is: on the bottom of your foot, it's like the muscle (similar to a rubber band) is stretched beyond it pliability. the only real relief came when i was given a foot brace to wear at night. cost $70.00. you would not believe the relief. i also suffer from excrutiating bone spurs. for that i was given prescription orthotics, and again, you would not believe the difference. i am pain free. hope this helps. cgarone19591955 concetta

Guest guest
I don't know if it'll help you, but it couldn't hurt (well, it might hurt at first, in that " good " way). When I had a lot of pain in my feet from working/walking on concrete floors, I went for barefoot walks in the bumpy grass. Fixed my feet right up. It stretches and massages like nothing else could. Guest guest
I also suffer from the same thing- I had shots of cortisone in the foot - I don't recommend that- the only thing that really works for me is Yoga- it takes a while- but all the stretching that we do there, it really helps alot- I am pain free for atleast three years now. Guest guest
Plantar facsiitis is an inflammation of the fascia which is a thick band of tissue which is at the bottom of the foot and extends from the ball of the foot to the heel. It's usually the most painful first thing in the morning. I always try to wear a shoe with a good arch support like Merrell or Birkenstock. These stretch out the fascia which is good. Also there are various splint - type devices to be found on the Net. I used one called the Strassburg sock. It is a knee sock with a hook and loop which pulls the toes up and keeps them like that. You wear this at night. Ice packs helped me. Also, I used Young Living oils to help with the inflammation.
