Gentlepeople,

The Senate is considering a bill, S. 762, to classify DHEA as an anabolic

steroid and add it to the list of controlled substances. If this bill becomes

law DHEA would be removed from the market. The companion bill in the U.S. House

of Representatives. is H.R. 1249.

DHEA is a naturally occurring human and plant hormone that has a wide range of

benefits, including maintaining muscle strength and strong bones, boosting

immunity, and improving mood and sleep patterns. Recent research suggests DHEA

may help combat Alzheimer's, cancer, diabetes, dementia, heart disease and

obesity. DHEA is widely credited with reducing anxiety, combating depression and

increasing happiness in the over 55 population. DHEA has been proven to be safe

and effective.

Go to http://www.capwiz.com/nnfa/issues/bills/?bill=9492216 for more information

on this subject. You can also contact your senators and representative by using

the links on that page. Please write down S 762 and H 1249 so you can write that

into the subject line. You may use any portion of this email or the information

you read on the referenced page to ask your senator to: Please vote no on S 762;

and to ask your representative to: Please vote no on H 1249.

The link to your senator is at the top of the page. The link to your

representative is on the right hand side of the page, about half way down.

Please check it out and decide if defending DHEA supplementation is something

you would like to do.

Peace,

John

PS: I'm beginning to wonder if any drug companies have any interest in selling

more drugs by eliminating competition from DHEA.
