Guest guest
I have a problem here lately and I'm trying to find some various ways I can help it get better. I have an ear wax buildup problem and I've tried using the ear wax removal kits that you can buy at Walmart but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. I mean it helps, I can hear a little better out of my ear but I can still tell that it isn't completely clean. Are there any other methods I could try that might help me out? Guest guest
My husband and both my children get the same problem. If you put Hydrogen Peroxide in the ear- it softens the ear wax- it crackles as it softens it- but it doesn't completely remove it. Guest guest
-extra virgin olive oil ..just little drop. i would put it on a q-tip first then insert very gently in ear . if you have a small dropper that would work too. it softness up ear wax so it will drain out better. let us know what happens. -- In , Vadarkwolf <vadarkwolf wrote: > > I have a problem here lately and I'm trying to find some various ways I can help it get better. Guest guest
hi- I am sorry-I do not know what the ear clean kits are as i am in a different country-but as a mother of a child with life long ear problems here is some advice--firstly-i can not remember the name of them but if you go to an asian food store supply or an asian doctor-like a herbalists etc- some pharmacies stock them, ask for the indian ear wax remover sticks-it is a hollow tube about the thickness of a pencil-and a bit longer-it is made of material that is soaked in parrafin wax- you place it in your ear- and light the other end---(no this is not a joke) and it creates a drawing thing like someone sucking through a straw----yes, they work-i used them on my daughter for years----a few hints---tie hair back--don't wear nylon etc ( Just incase) and although head is on it's side-tilt head slightly so any hot ash doesn't go down inside and burn ear-tho they are very safe-use caution-------- another thing is -i am living in australia-our surfers get water and gunk in their ears and they put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in their ears-tilt head on side -put a few drops in ear and wait a minute before turning head over-all debis thoths up and it comes out of ear-if you don't have a perforated ear drum then this method is ok-they all swear by it-----peroxide bleaches so do it in the bathroom with old towel and clothes- use cotton buds to clean and dry-never force anything-be very grmntle with your ears as you can cause a permanent injuy -very easily--------you can buy a small bottle at any phamacy --ask for one with an eye dropper in lid to make it easier--- I would not do this at the same time or you may get a loaud bang in your ear ---------good luck oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. Guest guest
I faced a similar problem and on the advice of my homeopath dr. friend, I sorted out with Kali Mur(homeo) 200c,1 dose at bedtime for 7 days. I am just giving my experience. Vadarkwolf <vadarkwolf wrote: I have a problem here lately and I'm trying to find some various ways I can help it get better. Guest guest
David, Look for a practitioner who does ear candling or ear coning. I would not do this yourself. The quality of the candles really varies and many have injured themselves with it, including the woman that works at the health food store! It's not that expensive. I think I paid 30 dollars for a treatment and it's not something you have to keep doing all time. It may improve your hearing amongst other things and definitely will get rid of excess wax. My practitioner has even gotten small objects out like a pebble and an insect. Yuck! Guest guest
Good advice Sharon. We always did the ear candles ourselves at home, but I had to cut the tips off the bottom, they were too sharp. The candle should fit snuggly in the opening of the ear but doesn't have to go deep to work. It just has to be able to create a suction. Have someone help you. Keep a glass of water handy. Have the recipient lay on their side in a comfortable spot. Insert the candle and make sure it fits snuggly and comfortably. Keep hair and other objects away. Light the top of the candle and be sure it stays held very straight. Always have someone supervising. When it gets about half to 2/3 of the way burned down, remove it and stick the lit end in the water. To see all the wax that is removed, cut it open w/scissors. You will be amazed.
