Kidney disease and long soliloquies?

Hi everybody, I know I don't post often about my renal condition,

since I'm quite occupied with my daughter's Autism, but I would like

some input on a strange experience that I just had where someone

commented on my renal disease. I posted to a group called openblooms

http://health.openblooms/ where the description

says, " A place for digestive, mental, soul wellness. " Since it is

commonly accepted that stress can worsen health conditions, I

attempted to start a discussion about happiness and " how we can choose

the most optimal life for ourselves and maybe even help others in the

process? " This apparently ruffled the feathers of two members (one of

which is the owner). Here's the strange part, the owner complained

about what she called my " long soliloquies " and said that my writing

style (which she apparently doesn't like) was due to my kidney

disease. Have any of you been faced with such an odd accusation

regarding your condition before?

Just wondering. Peace be with you!---Nicole

I live alone and have a gift of writing. Being alone is not something I

want in my life and can be very painful so writing helps keep me sane and in

touch with the world. It is a way to reach out and network with others.

Writing helps me to sort out my thoughts, feelings, and understand what I need

to

know; when I figure something out and share, it can become a gift that offers

a wealth of ideas and wisdom to and with others.

Years ago, when I first began to write my thoughts and send them into the

world, they were short pieces. Readers often would misinterpret things I would

say, and I realized it was because the topic was broad but my thoughts and

data were too concise and/or abbreviated. So I learned how to write with

clarity - to thoroughly discuss a topic which added more words/paragraphs to a

letter, but gave order and understanding.

What I found when I changed my writing techniques to more fully express

myself, I was beginning to enjoy my life, tolerating being alone, and liked what

my writing invoked in me. I felt that in my aloneness, I was filling a need

to communicate, digging deeper into understanding a research topic, and in

this self teaching I was able to contribute unknowingly a wealth of knowledge

with others, and after I would send a letter, then I would let it go with no

expectations though intuiting that I was actually helping someone out there.

There are always some who write back expressing thanks for helping to

understand, but often, I find that most people do not want to read lengthy

scripts.

I have been told that my emails are deleted, not read, and too long. I have

been told to stop the soliloquies and " tomes " of long and endless emails

where I never get to the point. I was banned from Athena - a homeopathic

digest twice for writing long comments. The moderator was a well known

healer/shaman who said people were angry at my long letters. These sites are

for

healing. Healing comes in many ways. Some people heal themselves through

their

writings. I was told to blog by myself if I needed to write, but I needed to

reach out and touch others and be a part of a voice and an ear. I could talk to

the walls all day and go crazy but I need a place where there are ears,

voices, and hearts. I assumed that a healing digest would offer just that.

How can healing take place in a forum when there are angry, judgmental,

opinioned, impatient, and intolerant people out there mocking with

condescension? This is an instant gratification society and people want a 20

second

tickle - then they need to rush on to the next moment. People are constantly

multitasking which waters down " the pure essence " of the moment if we do not

give our full attention to absorb the richness of each present moment.

We are living in a fast paced society that breeds intolerance and

impatience. Tolerance is one of 12 personal and social values: they are

cooperation,

freedom, happiness, honesty, humility, love, peace, respect, responsibility,

simplicity, tolerance and unity. These values, when taught at a young age,

help people to develop increased self esteem, positive social communication,

critical thinking, and artistic and dramatic expression.

You said,

<The moderator of a Healing digest called Open Blooms criticized you when he

or she " complained

about what she called my " long soliloquies " and said that my writing

style (which she apparently doesn't like) was due to my kidney disease " .>

You said,

<Your topic on happiness and " how we can choose the most optimal life for

ourselves and maybe even help others in the process " >

It sounds lovely; in fact, it sounds like the right focus to take on an

emotional healing level when one suffers from kidney problems. If you believe

in

what Louise Hays teaches please listen to what she says in " You Can Heal

Your Life " about kidney problems:

Kidney Problems, she says are caused by " criticism, disappointment, failure,

shame, reacting like a little kid " .

The affirmation she offers to counter-effect negative probable cause is the

following:

Divine right action is always taking place in my life. Only GOOD comes from

each experience. It is safe to grow up.

Please remember no body can make you feel anything........UNLESS YOU ALLOW

IT. If what this moderator said hurt you, please re-think your

thoughts.....make a new thought pattern for yourself and stay in the light of

love with

caring people. View those words with detachment and say out loud, " Isn't that

interesting what the moderator said to me? The moderator demonstrated actions

that are the same exact probable cause of kidney disease on an emotional

level. I am going to be mindful not to allow any criticism into my day. I

will

not be disappointed or act in a hurtful way. I am going to love myself. I am

only going to see GOOD from this experience.

If this was too long winded for anyone, rather than apologize, I offer you

this opportunity to practice tolerance because sitting here this morning and

responding to one of our valuable members' post is exactly what I needed for

my own healing, today. :-)

in loving kindness,

Linda

I just saw a tv presentation last night on a couple who worked with their

autistic child daily with a technique that brought him out of his autism. It was

incredible. I wish I could remember the method. Anyway, they created a special

room for him of his own, and they took away all of the normal things that might

distract him and only put his bed, bureau and all of his favorite things. For

instance, he enjoyed taking a certain item and waving it in circles, so that was

in his room. And he liked taking a blanket and hiding under it. Anyway, the

father, the mother, and a therapist all took turns with him and worked with him

7 and 8 hours a day combined. They sat one on one with him and copied him doing

all of his favorite things. All of this took about a year before he responded.

Anyway, it was tiny baby steps, but eventually he made eye contact with them as

they interacted with him doing his favorite things. He never had to leave the

room. They brought his food in and let him stay in his safe place, the key was

copying him and playing in that manner. Eventually his eye contact with them

became more and more. With the eye contact, they responded with a smile and

would point at him and show him even more that they were enjoying taking part in

his type of play. After one year, he spoke a word to them in an interacting way.

At his own request, he left the room to begin doing other things. He is a normal

boy today. The key was starting while he was young, he was about 4 years old

maybe??? when they began and he did have a normal intelligence level. Just

wanted to share....

There are all kinds of people in the world, and just because someone makes a

comment on something doesn't mean it is true. I monitor 4 and it is

up to the group owner to remain partial and try not to say things in a critical

way. Anyone can open a group, they don't have to have special qualifications.

Take it for what it is worth. And don't let it upset you. It is unlikely that it

is true. I am not a doctor nor am I a specialist, but that just seemed to be a

rude thing to say in my opinion.

Not exactly, but I was raked through the coals for even suggesting that vaccines

COULD be A possible reason for food allergies. 9 years ago my daughter had her

routine 15month vaccines and two weeks later had an allergic reaction after

eating peanutbutter. I PERSONALLY think the vaccines had something to do with

it, At least in her case.I asked for other people's experiences and suggested

that they do vaccine research before they have any more done to their kids. I

was treated like a criminal. People on line don't seem to care who they offend.

Everything needs to be worded " just so " or people take it completely out of

context. I was just trying to look for answers for an evolving trend. It would

be nice if there was a reason for food allergies or better yet a cure. I am no

longer a member of that group. To my reccollection they didn't even post my

appology to any of those whom I may have offended. They only posted what they

wanted to. As in your case, some people appear to

be very closed-minded. Just thought I'd share. I hope I didn't offend anyone in

this group by anything I said. I am trying to be more politically correct and

more sensitive in my wording. Alison

I have found immense therapy in writing as well. You know the crazy thing

about it? These are groups! They are for all of us to participate in! We all

have a " delete " button. If someone doesn't want to read it, just hit " delete " .

So silly... I thought your written words were very well expressed.

I don't know if you are talking about the method developed by Barry somebody

Can't think of his last name right now. Their son was determined to be

very autistic. They did just as you mentioned and they have written a book

called Son Rise. It was when autism first was recognized as a disease, so

the boy is grown now and perfectly normal.
