Natural Unsweetened Cranbeery juice is excellent for

water retention that causes swollen ankles and feet.

1 bag fresh cranberries

4 cups water

heat in pot until skins pop

let cool and strain

sweeten with stevia if necessary

does not increase blood sugar and is an excellent

diuretic.

I am a big fan of cranberry juice. Since the normal shelf type is watered down

and often sweetened, I buy the all natural concentrate. It is out there, and it

is pricey, but worth it. Since it is so concentrated and so bitter, I buy an

everyday brand, but one w/o sugar or corn syrup in it. I buy one that is

sweetened w/apple juice. THEN, I take the two and blend them in a glass for

myself at home. It gives me a more concentrated form of the juice and it is

pleasant to drink.

That's great Marsha. However you can also get a

cranberry juice that is 100% juice. Apple juice is

high on the glycemic index. Stevia doesn't increase

blood sugar and sweetens a 1/2 gallon of juice with

1/8 teaspoon. If you are trying to manage carbs and

destress adrenals, are diabetic or simply do not want

sweetened juice this is the way to go. Fresh juice

tastes so much better than bottled or canned, frozen

etc. plus you don't get the preservatives and

additives that you'll find in most processed juices.

In order to benefit from real, pure, fresh cranberry juice without corn

syrup, additives, and to do it at a reaonable cost:, try doing what I have been

doing for years:

When fresh cranberries come into the market this fall buy one bag every few

weeks for about $2.00. Wash berries 3 times and drain/dry, and put in a food

processor and pulverize. Place mashed berries into ice cube trays and

freeze. When frozen, put in freezer zip lock bags and write the date on it.

{note: cranberries last up to 9 months in a freeze}. If you start freezing

cranberries in late Oct. through Dec. when they are sold fresh, you should have

them frozen year round. Use them up before 9 months is up.

When you need cranberry juice, make a cup of hot boiling tea, and while the

tea steeps, add a cube of frozen cranberries into the cup; allow it to thaw

inside the teacup. Disgard the teabag, reheat or chill, and drink - do not

disgard or strain the cranberry skins.

You can add frozen cubes into muffin mix, recipes.....its versitile and

PURE, UNADULTERATED, and ready to use.

in loving kindness,

Linda

Excellent idea! I have always just frozen the whole

bag of berries and when I make the juice I use a whole

bag. I strain because I don't like drinking the seeds

or skins. Around here I can get the bags for $1 a bag

this time of year so I stock up. Smiths almost always

has them 2 for $3.
