free speech issue related to spirituality

Hi folks

There is had been an issue with the FDA that we shared before on

, but I have a new issue that I came across (unrelated to the

FDA). I

have a free speech issue that I want to bring to your attention. First I need to

connect it to spirituality, so as to make the issue relevant to

.

Spirituality is found affecting broad reality, so in some sense Descartes

dualism is wrong. Therefore, spirituality is found impacting scientific

discovery

if science is to find its place in broad reality. In fact, spirituality is

found impacting the following three branches of science: alternative and

complementary medicine, or mind-body healing (this is where

finds

itself); consciousness studies, say as related to noetic science; and in

biology, as it pertains to spiritual evolution and growth (this is where the

free

speech issue is found).

Now the free speech issue. I have posted a book review on Amazon for Michael

Bene's new book " The Edge of Evolution. " My book review is called " A Fine

Contribution, " and you can find it there with 70 (or so) other book reviews. You

can find my review among the five star reviews. What has happen is that there

is now an organized campaign to vote disapproval on all positive book reviews,

and this campaign is now disconnected with normal book browsers that come in

and read the reviews and leave input as approval or disapproval votes. I know

this because when I had first posted my review the voting came back even, 50:50

(back then the vote was 34 yes out of 66 in total), but this was before the

wave voting started. In the wave voting a review can get 10-20 votes all in one

day, over a period of a few days, and all of the votes would be negative. The

wave voter is not the normal browser that comes in and leaves their feedback.

The wave-voting campaign is designed to push the favorable reviews to the

sideline, thereby persuading public opinion by repressing reviews that are

freely

available to browsers when they visit Amazon.

To bring balance back to voting on an issue related to spirituality that is

important to , I would recommend that you visit Michael

Behe's book on Amazon, look at my review and others, and vote freely either

positive or negative. I won't tell you how to vote because I respect your

opinion,

nevertheless, I trust that your voting will bring balance back.

Sincerely, Stephen P Smith
