Ovarian Cysts

I have a neighbor that told me that she has ovarian cysts that has been

recurring and has had surgeries about every 6 months for the last few

years to remove cysts that grow to about the size of a small orange.

She had a hysterectomy about 2 years ago but still has both overies.

She is facing surgery again to remove the cycts and wants an

alternative. What can I tell her to do right now to avoid surgery. Is

there any overnight kind of help to reduce pain and start reducing the

cysts without surgery? Or would she have to have surgery then do

prevention alternatives to avoid cysts in the future?

Yours,

Marian

I can only say that I have made doctors very angry for

refusing the surgery. My pain was horrible; the

cysts were the size of grapefruits... warm castor

oil compresses helped a bit for the pain...

I finally understood that I had to stop consuming

dairy... any kind... I didn't even eat yoghurt for

years... now again (for the wonderful acidophilus...)

but pure, without fruit, etc... Maybe you heard about

Dr. John McDougall, who also examined me, found the

cysts " rather " large, but hoped that stopping all

dairy may shrink them; he helped me change my diet.

When the pain had actually subsided (after about 6

months... terribly long, I know!), I went to the

surgeon and--HE COULD NOT FIND THE CYSTS--and said

that it must have been a mistaken diagnosis. (For

years I have been examined by different doctors, who

all told me the same thing! Some even recommended a

hysterectomy!) They (nurse and doctor) ridiculed me,

when I told them that the pain had finally stopped

(and the cysts practically disappeared, when I stopped

eating dairy!!!!!!

Dear Marian,

My wife had a " benign overian cyst " of the size of a paper weight ( 64X47X38

mm ) in 1988 , about a year after an Appendicitius ang family planning operation

.. It resulted a continuous pain and extreamly irregular periods.

I started an Ayurvedic medicine " KANCHNAR GUGGUL VATI " 2 tabs twicw daily

with fresh water . With in 3 days , pain started reducing and an ultrasound test

after TWO months reported the CYST found disappeared ( dissolved and flushed )

completely . Since then she is quite normal .

For further details you may contact at dr.vpsharma or at

May GOD bless you & your neighbor .

Marian,

It is not an overnight solution, but iodine supplementation will help

with these cysts. I've heard of many women having their cysts totally

disappear. Here's a link for you to share.

I had an ovarian cyst. I took chammomile drops as directed. I think it was 10-15

drops three times a day. The cyst disappeared. This reccomendation was handed

down to me by a women who's mother had a cyst the size of a grapefruit and the

chammomile worked for her. I don't know if she drank tea or took drops. Maybe it

will work for your friend.

Ovarian cysts are typically caused by an excess of estrogen. Now, if

she's had a hysterectomy, I'm wondering if she's taking HRT ~ synthetic

estrogens.

Regardless, a high quality progesterone cream (here's the only one I

recommend: http://tinyurl.com/2np282) and castor oil packs are good

approaches considering we don't know what (if any) other health

challenges she may have or medications she may be using.

Results aren't overnight, but Castor oil packs are exceptionally

helpful for both ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids.

Excellent Ingrid! For those who don't want to cut out dairy altogether,

at least switch to organic dairy products to avoid the estrogens.

Choose only organic, free range meats to avoid all the nasty hormones,

chemicals, preservatives and poisons injected in those poor animals

that we consume.

Guys, this goes for you too! You'll feel so much better and reduce the

risk of prostate enlargement/cancer and other estrogen related

conditions.

The Doctor is telling my friend now that if she doesn't have the

surgery and they burst that she could die from the fluids. Is this

true? Something about the cysts fluid causing bleeding. She's been

spotting but has no uterus. She tells me that she has had many

different opinions and they all tell her the same thing. Is there

something going on with these doctors?

Thank you all very much for your insights. I really appreciate what

you've told me and I've printed the replies you sent. I'll give them

to my neighbor first thing tomarrow.

Yours Most Truly,

Is there something going on with these doctors?

Don't even get me started on this! Doctors all too often motivate

with fear.

Hey, I lifted the below info from a web site that seemed to have some

very sound, reasonable information that wasn't alarmist or allopathic

focused. I hope it helps some.

Possible complications

Although a woman may live with a cyst for years and not even know she

has it, occasionally cysts do cause problems. If a cyst is growing on

a stem, the stem may become twisted. This causes intense pain,

vomiting and a rapid heartbeat. This emergency condition is called

torsion (see diagram on the left) and you need to go to hospital for

treatment.

Some cysts can burst (rupture). If this happens, how you feel depends

on what the cyst contained, whether it is infected and whether there

is any bleeding. There will usually be some pain when a cyst

ruptures, but it is only as severe as the pain in torsion if there is

bleeding or infection. Again you need to go to hospital for treatment.
