Guest guest
The idea that there is a no human on earth-indigo or not, that doesn't feel or express anger-is not only a false assumption, but these belief systems cause guilt, blame, shame and more suppressed emotion. Even Jesus was angry when he saw people gambling in the temple, and we have stories of Krishna with very human traits as well. In fact, it is the suppressed rage and anger that fuels activism and causes laws to change...but also fuels sickness and disease. I don't want to reprint all of my book here-and I also have some very good blogs on my site on the subject. But here is a little run down. We are taught at birth that feelings of anger, hatred, and even sadness are wrong (how many kids are spanked or shamed for crying or simply saying how they truly feel?- I was one of those kids...) We grow not to trust ourselves and sublimate our emotions-clinging schizophrenically to one universally accepted, happy politically correct term " love " and hold on to terms like " peace " - I use the term schizophrenically because what you get from people who profess " all love " is a " hate-hug " a " hard kiss " and a fear to say and express how they really feel. Hate and love being opposite sides of the same coin-existing like yin and yang- when you take out the word hate-it doesn't simply cease to exist, but merely hides behind words like love, and peace (anybody ever witness the violence at " peace " march?) For people who understand yoga and Hinduism- I explain it like this We are called to embrace Satya/truth which is the first yama- Westerners have made ahimsah/nonviolence a first and primary goal without first embracing and going through the lesson of Satya or Truth. Being true to ourselves is the first yama- Ahimsah, is a worthy goal but not likely to be attained until you have embraced and gone through the challenge of Satya. It is said in ancient texts that we are living in the dark times- Kali Yuga but we are entering into Satya Yuga- the time of Truth- this is the age of aquarious on a whole other level. A scale down process is as follows: Feel anger, recognizing it as anger (this is where most people stop and sublimate their emotions), getting the anger out on an inanimate object, after releasing anger= you can now speak non violently to those that offended you and continue on your day with out holding onto anger-which turns into supressed rage and violence-within the self violence becomes disease- cancer, etc... If this interests you I invite you to read my book " Beyond Natural Cures " , " Saharasia " by Dr. James DeMeo, " Passion of Youth " and " Children of the Future " by Dr. Wilhelm Reich. Saharasia is my favorite and I know the scientist that wrote it- it is also available off of my website.
