Guest guest
Okay, I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have two things going on, and was wondering if anyone knows what they are or can suggest remedies to either of them. 1. My tounge hurts. In the morning there are strange white rings on the tip of my tounge. I used to be able to brush them off with my tooth brush, but now it seems that the skin under the rings is raised, and the rings don't brush off as easily. This has been going on for about 6 weeks now. I am thinking its possibly a bacterial infection, because I remember doing a science experiment with bacteria and they grew in ring shaped colonies like this, but I'm not sure. I have tried rinsing my mouth out with peroxide, but it doesn't help for very long. I brush with a sea salt based tooth paste. 2. My wrists hurt. Actually, my whole hands hurt, but my right wrist is by far the worst. I recently read about pregnancy induced carpal tunnel in my Pregnancy Week by Week book, and the description of it in the book sounded a lot like the pain I am feeling in the joints in my hand. I have flattened my keyboard at work, as the book suggested, and I have tried icing my hands at night, in hopes of taking down the swelling, but the pain in my wrist is getting worse and worse, and the pain in my fingers is not getting any better. This has been going on for two, maybe three weeks now. I am making a doctors appointment for these problems tomorrow, just in case its something really wrong, but I would sure appreciate any insight you guys could give. Thanks! Guest guest
Many women develop carpal tunnel during pregnancy, myself included. In some instanses it dissappears after pregnancy or it can just become recurrent. The tongue sounds like a case of thrush and you should be seen by your physician. Be a better Heartthrob.
