I am also scheduled to take a colonoscopy because i have IBS and I am having problems with foods my body refuses to accept. Colon cancer runs in my family so I guess it might be worth while having the test done. In the meantime, wheat, milk, cheese, rice almost everything is starting to bother me. I keep having persistent cramping on the lower left side of my stomach every other day. What the heck can I eat? Raw vegetables causes gas. Now i'm being told stay away from salads. I've gained 20 lbs in the past 4 years because I go through binges with food. HELP!
Guest guest
Thank you sooooo much for the information. I felt I was reading all my symptoms and no one else knew what I was talking about. There are times that I can actually feel something moving around and most likely it is the bacteria. I stopped eating starchy foods this week and have noticed a big difference in my stomach alone. I still feel fatigue but at least I don't have to deal with the cramping.Ulysses942 wrote: <<<Does anyone have IBS here? If so, can you help with some ofthe symptoms and also anything to do to relieve symptoms?I read that you can have a crampy feeling in the lower rightside of the abdomen, bloating (more gas), and irregular bowelmovements.Any input is appreciated.>>> You might want to check this out from About.com....I just read this yesterday, and it seems interesting..~Susan http://altmedicine.about.com/od/healthconditionsdisease/a/overgrowth.htmKaren (kay) Byron Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
Have any of you ever had IBS? IF so, how did you treat it, and what do you think the causes of it are? My 20 yr old daughter has it. My husband and I told her that it probably has to do with her diet. Any great ideas? Thanks! Carol
Guest guest
Stress and diet are major causes of IBS. 1 TBS Virgin coconut oil daily will help with symptoms. Changing diet to more natural, less processed, less high glycemic carbs, less fatty foods, more fresh and raw veggies, rotating grains will all help with reducing or eliminating symptoms. Drink at least a gallon of water daily. I teach clients everyday how to reduce stress and those symptoms they experience with diet, mediation, exercize and stress reduction via biofeedback. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your response. I am trying to shift to more raw foods myself. I would not have imagined that coconut oil would help. I knew it helps the metabolism. Thursday, a specialist scoped my daughter's stomach and found a small ulcer. He biopsied it and will identify the bacteria by Monday. I did not know the symptoms of an ulcer and IBS could be almost the same. I wonder how many people have an ulcer and think that they have IBS. I am not sure my daughter could drink a gallon of water daily. She is 5'4 " and only weighs 105 pounds. We don't want her to float away!! Blessings! Guest guest
Believe it or not the human adult body no matter what size can absorb a gallon of water daily, actually 2 when the weather is extremely hot. Ulcers are also caused by Leaky Gut Syndrome. Bacteria that invade the digestive system, medications that deteriorate the digestive tract etc. Which in turn causes malabsorption, indigestion, heart burn, gastritis, constipation, IBS, ulcers, you get the picture. http://osiris.sunderland.ac.uk/autism/gut.htm Jenny Kernan Quantum Biofeedback Therapist --- Carol <clkrause2000 wrote: > Thank you so much for your response.
