Guest guest
This is interesting. I will try this formula for ants. My experiment w/ aspartame & apple juice didn't work very well. It's also possible that I didn't have the right ratio. Another possibility is that these type of ants didn't respond to that mixture. Oh well, it's off to the store again to pick up some boric acid. I'll keep you posted. http://www.alsnetbiz.com/homeimprovement/boric_acid.html Very best! Melissa Park yourself in front of a world of choices in alternative vehicles. Visit the Auto Green Center. Guest guest
We just poured the asparame directly on the mound and trails. No mixing with anything. Guest guest
I tried that first, didn't work. Different species of ants require different strategies, or so I'm told. I did pick up a product from Victor, " Poison Free ant & roach killer " . They use natural plant extract, which produces neuro-toxic results for the aforementioned pests. I sprayed liberally, killed the ants. Very few have come back, and best of all, it didn't make me sick. I picked this up at my local Do-It handyman center. Guest guest
I find the boric acid working fine for roaches, but for ants I mix borax with syrup... It seems to work very well. Guest guest
Hi Melissa, I have found a great solution with a non-toxic cleaning product called Solumel that also kills ants. It has worked great for us. No bad smell. Just spray on once or twice and the ants are gone. Good Luck , Mel Malin <mels.here wrote: > > This is interesting. > > I will try this formula for ants. > > My experiment w/ aspartame & apple juice didn't work very well. Guest guest
My mother-in-law used Boric Acid and sugar mixed. She put it in a mayo lid and way back under her fridge where the babies could get to it. She lived near orchards and vinyards where the field roaches would come in as it got cold. Swears it works.
