You should see someone trained in NMT. Trigger points in the pectoralis major

muscle can cause chest pain. Also go to your family doctor and ask about

costochondritis. BTW NMT is NeuroMuscular Therapy.

-My son inlaw experienced the same thing. After talking to him I

checked his spinal alignment. He had a rib out of alignment. See a

chiropractor. Or you are having major problems accepting life and what

it brings.-- In , " Joseph "

Joseph ..

There are a number of other quite severe medical conditions which can cause the

symptoms you describe. There are also possible 'psycho-spiritual' causes. You

have only described one incident; without knowing a whole lot more about you, it

would be irresponsible (and illegal) for me or anyone else to offer any

diagnosis, treatment or prescription.

It appears as though ER found nothing wrong with your heart.

1. I would find a very good chiropractor and get a set of X-Rays of your spine

taken and interpreted. Subluxations of the Spinal Cord in any of the thoracic

vertebrae between T4 and T8 can sause the symptoms you describe by pinching a

nerve that supplies the heart/lungs/diaphragm.

2. If all is clear here, I would go to your GP and tell him what's going on and

ask him/her of the possibility of anything going on in the Vagus Nerve.

Only when ALL possible clinical conditions have been covered, would I start

looking for other answers ... and there may be a few possibilities I could help

you with .. based on personal experience ..

Your life may depend on it.

Hi Joseph,

You should look at the spine and ribs for the answer if it's not

medical. Nerve supply for the lungs and chest organs comes from

cervical 2 down to dorsal 8 and needs testing out. Use an holistic

Osteopath, if you can find one, or a Chiropractor.

If you get stuck I have an exercise sheet to correct body balance,

which will undoubtedly be involved. please contact me direct if you

nered any help.

Regards, Don Moody. nasalbone.

As someone living and doing relatively well with coronary artery

disease I can tell you that stress tests do not reveal all. I did

relatively well on a stress test but knew something was wrong. Did

they do an echo stress test which is basically like an ultrasound of

the heart as it will show contricted blood flow(ischemia)and reduced

heart muscle function? They checked your blood enzymes because the

heart muscle releases enzymes after a heart attack.

Imaging the blood vessels is becoming better but an angiogram is still

the standard for checking for blockages but has risks and there needs

to be a serious justification for doing it. I would continue to be

monitored and take some natural anti inflamatories and eat foods that

reduce inflamation such as those high in Omega 3. Inflamation of the

arteries is a major culprit in CAD.

An aspirin a day is good but should also be used with caution as it

decreases clotting and is not good for those whose blood takes a long

time to clot or have a bleeding disorder such as peptic ulcer. It may

be just stress or overexertion.

A good diet, exercise, stress reduction, etc. are all good for

promoting a healthy heart but people fail to realize the role of

genetics. Unfortunately we are all not created equal when it comes to

heart health, but with a healthy lifestyle we can can help combat

genetics.

Stress itself can cause such things-esp if you are under alot of pressure but

keep marching on--take time to look at your life, i once had stress related

disorders when i was younger , when they told me it was stress-i laughed, i

thought, my life isn't stressfull-they are mistaken, then a couple of years

later, my life changed, once looking back i realised what i thought was normal,

was not and i had been under stress,,these days i know what stres is-just trying

to survive each day is a battle and can take it's toll-add any other dramas and

you have a huge cocktail for chest pain--if all is happy and serene at home, see

a naturpath as it could be nutritional-watch the diet and drink plenty of

water... gentle exercise...also see if one of your friends has a intuitive

doctor, tests are one thing but they sometimes don't cover the WHOLE

person.........

Joseph,

What foods, drinks or medications did you have that day?

MSG and Asparatame can give some similar physical symptoms.

What happened to you during the day that could have led up to that?

Are you on any medications?

I'm no doctor but it sounds like a major anxiety attack. If many people eat or

drank any caffine it can cause anxiety. For some people hangovers can become

anxiety attacks. Sugar levels either too low or too high can induce panic

attacks.Artificial sweeteners can cause anxiety also. Stress can cause anxiety

attacks. Really analyzing diet and lifestlyle( good and bad ), (physical and

emotional) will help you to find an answer.Hope this helps.

I was thinking the same thing as I had a similar experience about 7

years ago. I didn't have to spend the night at the hospital, but the

ambulance drive and all of the tests were super expensive to learn

after it all that I had experienced an anxiety attack. Scary!

IMO, these kind of experiences are a profound wake-up call with a loud

message. Only you can know what that message is for you Joseph. Reduce

stress? Change your diet? Break an addiction? Take a vacation? I hope

you're listening!

Glad you're OK Joseph,

Michelle

I should also ask you, are you on any type of medication now? If you are, do you

know their side effects?
