Guest guest
Try soaking the finger in clean very warm water with epsom salts in it. This should open up the wound and let it drain if infected and help to reduce the swelling. Cleanse with Tea Tree Oil or Witch Hazel. Ice is good for the first 48 hours after than heat is best. If this does not help or you notice redness that increases or starts to create a line up the hand or arm get to a Dr. immediately as that can be signs of blood poisoning and is very dangerous. Guest guest
Windex will get the ring off. Just pour it directly on your hand. I personally can't use neosporin because I react adversely to the petrol in it. I just use plain old peroxide(for everything). It always works. Guest guest
Try soaps or oils. Don't panic. Also try soaking it in Epsom salts solution to reduce the swelling first (it may smart on your cut, however). I am concerned about a cut that causes so much swelling. If you see any red streaks or have any fever you could have a very serious infection. Watch carefully! You may need to cut the ring off, if you are not getting good circulation, it will not heal and increase your risk of infection! This usually works. If all else fails, stop by the fire dept for help. love, cecile >
Guest guest
another way to get a ring off your finger. is to put dish soap or oil around the ring. get some fishing link or dental floss slip it under the ring and just go around and around and little by little the ring will come off. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
