Guest guest
Saw your advert on the home page - cool, how is that done? I have been practising yoga for 25 years and I have taught yoga for 3 years; but then I was introduced to the Scaravelli style of yoga, which changed everything, the way I look at yoga, and the way I practice; i was taught by June Dirkin from Kenmare, Ireland - she is a wonderful teacher and i learnt more from her in four hours (a day workshop) than all my 5 years of training under the Iyengar system; now that i am still recovering from a broken right ankle I feel that a lot of the power yoga is blocked for me - which I consider no bad thing, I can cease to try to practice yoga like Madonna and instead concentrate on being myself! I then originated angel yoga, which is a Scaravelli style of hatha yoga, done in the presence of the angels, whcih i alos give the technical name of avahita yoga; this is a truly wonderful style, with huge emphasis on breath awarenss and softening the body very gently into 17 postures, each one dedicated to an angel, for example, Tadasana is dedicated to Jophiel. I have had some remarkable results with this yoga: for instance, a two hour session managed to completely illiminate the onset of flu, reducing the rising temperature to normal, ensuring no onset of flu symptoms; at first i thought 'co-incidence' but after a few times now i am convinced that breath control has power (siddha) to heal. I would love to teach this yoga, one to one, and i plan to do this professionally in my local area; apart from the healing aspect, it is wonderful to do yoga to angels, and I have experienced a few instances of their presence - the yoga has a very special spiritual dimension, combining Eastern bhakti and Western mystery. It is also a lovely yoga to teach because it creates such a gentle atomsphere in which it is impossible for the teacher to get into ego trips and feels under pressure to impress (also for the student, too!). i have a most bells and whistles free website avaliable and from their you can access the egroup for angel yoga, with tons more information besides: http://www.freewebs.com/angelyoga/ peace and love, Dominic
