Hi all,

I have a great book called " Fresh Choices " by David Joachim and

Rochelle Davis which is part cookbook and part informative book on

sustainable agriculture. It tells which produce is best consumes

organic and which is okay to eat conventional with minimum pesticide.

I made this list for my own use. I hope that this helps some of you.

Cheers

Devon

Eat Conventional:

Bananas, plantains, pineapples, mangoes, papayas, kiwi, honeydew, U.S.

cantaloupe, Grapefruit, oranges (without peel), lemons (without peel),

tangerines, watermelon, plums, asparagus, avocados, broccoli,

cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, eggplant, okra, onions, peas,

radishes, sweet corn (non GMO), chard, romaine lettuce,

Hi Devon,

This comes in very handy because since I have left CA a year ago,

I have yet to find a vegetable or fruit that I can afford to buy.

Everything in NC is at least 4x more expensive than in CA.

So last week, I decided that I would have to sacrifice and eat

some conventional produce or go without another year.

Your list is very good and agrees with what I thought was ok to

eat conventionally. I figured that it was ok to eat fruits and

vegetables that have a thick skin, though I didn't know about the

dark berries and grapes.

Thank you much for the info.
