Guest guest
We have received confirmation that Gettysburg Times (and possibly other papers) will have a photographer at the Autism Walk in Gettysburg [just minutes from the Maryland border] on the morning Saturday, August 25th. They ran a story on the up coming walk that included mentioning the lack of insurance coverage for Autism therapies. Now, our goal is to get enough walkers to have a prominent placement in the paper to really create momentum for Autism awareness. It is our hope to have a sea of red Autism T-shirts in the circle of down town historic Gettysburg. FYI: If it is on the front page of the Gettysburg Times, it will likely be seen by many legislators [both local and national], sending the message that Autism families demand respect. Even if you don't have a child with Autism, your support is appreciated. We need public officials to know that we are many and we are strong. Frank will be placing an order for t-shirts, so we need to know sizes by August 15. For more information about the walk or sign-up to participate, call Frank Seidel at 301-846-2589 or e-mail: GettysburgWAW Feel free to forward this post. ---Nicole
