Guest guest
This started right after I ate last night and has been going on for 16 hours without respite and I am desperate to find some relief. I ate a reasonable meal - some salmon and veggies - and was relaxing watching a movie. Suddenly, my stomach started cramping badly. Cramps are excruciating and last 30-60 seconds and come every couple of minutes. As the cramps come again, they get worse and worse. After some time, there will be a break and eventually last night I thought at one point they were gone, but then they came back and with a vengeance. After I had them about an hour, I vomited undigested food. My bowels had been moving normally up to and including yesterday but not since last night. I have tried the strongest pain medication I can take - really strong ones give me stomach pains so I am limited in that. The meds help somewhat and allowed me to get some sleep. My husband has been standing by to take me to ER since last night and suggests that my description of the problem sounds like something fairly high up in my system is kinked or folded stopping things moving, but that my bowels are not blocked so I am not feeling lower rumblings or anything. The pain is in my stomach and I feel my stomach knotting up and the cramps feel really high up. I am sure that if I get some relief, it will help the cramps relax and things will get better quickly. Any ideas for what I can take to alleviate this even for a while?

Nerve supply to the stomach comes from the spine and you need balance and mobility for the body to work correctly; applies to everything really. I have an exercise sheet that will do this job for you, or anybody, just email me at donmoody and ask, it's called Exercises for long leg syndrome. If you are really suffering it would be quicker to see an Osteopath or a Chiropractor, as an emergency and then do the exercises. Kind regards, Don Moody. nasalb0ne.
