Hello, my name is Clair. Its my first post. I have some questions

regarding womens health and fertility. I have poly-cystic ovarian

syndrom. I have cysts on my ovaries and uterus. They are small, about

1 cm in size. I am having fertility issues because of this. My

husband and I have been trying for 5 years and still no baby. I have

tried fertility treatment, Clomid and my body did not take to the

medication. We are at the invitro point, but I would like to know if

there is anything I can do to increase my fertility and perhaps shrink

the cysts. My doctor suggested raspberry extract, which I have been

using, mostly in the form of tea. He says it is working some to help

with the cysts. Along with the infertility problems comes the weight

problems with the PCOS. I am insulin intollerant. It is not diabetes

but it is close. The insulin intollerance has contributed to my weight

gain. I've tried changing my diet and exercising and I've lost 20

pounds. But I still have around 80 pounds that I could lose. Are

there any natural ways to help in loosing weight? I'm not looking for

a miracle, but something that will help me get passed this hurdle that

I've been stuck at for about 4 months now.

Thanks!

Hi Clair,

You have sure been through the wringer, haven't you?

Have you tried progesterone? Progesterone is crucial to fertility and being

able to carry a pregnancy to term. If you are not ovulating, your body is

not producing any progesterone at all. This allows your estrogen to take

over, causing PCOS, infertility, and a host of other female problems.

Dr. John Lee successfully treated PCOS and infertility by supplementing with

a topical progesterone cream. Check out his books, especially " What Your

Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause " . I think it will explain a lot!

You can also read about some of his work at his website:

His coauthor, Virginia Hopkins, has some info about PCOS:
