Hi,

In the event that some members do not wish to go with a raw food diet for

their

dogs, they can put together a well balanced home cooked diet and observe

the positive effects this has on canine health.

I have been doing this for many years. Please remember that every dog is an

individual and diets need to be adjusted to a dog's general health, age,

breed,

life style. Additional information may be found among books on the subject,

using Amazon's database and also on various sites and lists.

Thank you, Shirley.

That's what I've been doing for a few years. I use rice as a base, and add

vegetables (peas, carrots, yams, mostly), cooked meat. I cook the brown rice

with barley, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds...oh I dunno, lots of

seeds. And I give her a pet vitamin tablet, and some fish oil.

On the rare occasion that I'm out of her regular diet, I offer her something

made for dogs, and she balks. Kind of like, *what's this...where's my real

food?*

My homeopathic vet tells me she is doing quite well with this diet.

I believe in compulsory cannibalism. If people were forced to eat what they

killed, there would be no more wars.
