" What We Eat in America " - Survey Shows Major Deficiencies

An often repeated mantra of health officials and medical

" authorities " is that " one can obtain all the nutrients one needs from

a normal varied diet " . The reality is starkly different. According to

a recently completed survey by the Agricultural Research Service's

Food Surveys Research Group in Beltsville, Maryland, 93 % of Americans

don't get enough vitamin E from their diet, and more than half (56 %)

are deficient in magnesium, while roughly one third (31 %) are not

getting even the bare minimum of vitamin C.

No wonder heart disease kills so many, one might add. All those

deficient nutrients are essential for good heart function.
