Guest guest
Hi. I am a 21 year old female, and I have HORRIBLE heartburn. I've been suffering with this for quite a few years now. Recently, I decided to try and live a more natural, prescription and OTC drug-free lifestyle. If I must take any pills, I want them to be natural herbs. I've tried everything OTC. I've even tried a few natural approaches. Nothing seems to work that well, though. A little background information: I could stand to lose some weight, and I know that would help. I do drink some caffiene. I have between one and two cups of coffee a day. My beverage of choice is filtered water. Recently, I've been taking digestive enzymes. I've tried Papaya Enzyme capsules that you chew. I've tried drinking Raw/Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. Does anyone have any suggestions for an all-natural remedy for acid reflux? I've been to the website: www.doctoryourself.com, and I see that the Dr. recommends a product called " Natrum Phos 6X " . Has anyone heard of this, or better yet, tried it? Is this a reliable website? Please help! Thanks!
Guest guest
Hi (whoeveryou are) You say that: " I've been to the website: www.doctoryourself.com, and I see that the Dr. recommends a product called " Natrum Phos 6X " . " Can you give us a link or tell us on what page he recommends this product? I do not know about you or your letter but we seem to be getting quite a few questions to this group which do not seem to be valid inquiries. Frank , " gee_guh " <addicted2avon@h...> wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
Hi again. Yes, I am sorry. I'm brand new to this group, and that was my first question. Please forgive me, I am eager to learn all that I can about alternative medicine. My name is Jen, and I am from Louisiana. I was looking around some of the previous posts, and I saw that someone recommended the website, www.doctoryourself.com. So, I visited, and I saw a section on Acid Reflux. That product was recommended, and I was just curious if I could get some feedback. I realize that the internet is basically a huge marketplace, and I want to learn about this product before I go off and purchase it. I did not mean any harm. The page is: http://www.doctoryourself.com/reflux.html Look at number 7 in the list. Thanks. , " califpacific " <califpacific@g...> wrote: > Hi (whoeveryou are) > > You say that: > > " I've been to the website: www.doctoryourself.com, and I see that the > Dr. recommends a product called " Natrum Phos 6X " . Guest guest
Well, hello Jen, This group is about learning but not about products. The web is full of products. It was full of products when I started this group. This group was to get away from talking about products and to talk about what is wrong with our health and to learn how to regain our health. When we understand the processes involved we then pretty much know what to try ,etc. Trying different products without knowing what is involved is usually not the way to go about regaining health. We don't discuss commercial sites much or commercial products much either. Otherwise the group messages degenerate to sharing overblown sales pitchs either from people who have a commercial interest or passed on by others who gullibly got their health education off from commercial websites. This group is oriented towards education rather that which " pill " do we take for what symptom. Frank , " gee_guh " <addicted2avon@h...> wrote: > Hi again. Yes, I am sorry. Is this a reliable website? Please help! Thanks! Have you looked into cultured vegetables? See quote & URL below. Alobar " Sally Fallon of the Weston A. Price foundation calls cultured food " super foods " because they are partially digested, so the nutrients are readily available with little work for your body and they actually add to the enzyme stores of your body. Sour Kraut is possibly the only remaining cultured vegetable in America, though there does seem to be a trend of healthy people bring this almost lost art back into their diets. " People by the scores have been going to naturopaths or nutritional counselors over the past few years and coming away taking digestive enzymes for the rest of their lives. When I have talked to these health professionals they all seem to have taken the same classes and have been taught that once your enzyme stores are depleted there is not way of restoring those supplies. In practice they have all found this to be true. They all believe that their patients will be on the enzyme capsules the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, they have missed something that Sally Fallon and the Weston A. Price people along with people like Donna Gates of Body Ecology have come to realize: that cultured foods will actually add back enzyme stores into the enzyme banks of the body. Kefir, cultured cream, buttermilk, cultured vegetables, etc all add predigested food full of vitamins and minerals, normal flora, and enzymes to the body. I believe these are valuable foods, part of all good traditional diets, that have become lost in the society of today. And I believe bringing them back is essential for optimal health. " Cultured Vegetables are the perfect compliment to meats. They contain the enzymes and bacteria necessary for complete protein digestion. Most people, when having a live blood analysis have undigested protein found in their blood. Most naturopaths then tell them that they need digestive enzymes. Interestingly, if a person adds cultured vegetable to their meats at a meal this will also take care of the undigested protein.
