My son-in-law had a Brown Recluse spider bite his knee in boot camp several

years ago. It swoll up to the size of a grapefruit. He was treated

immediately with antibiotics I believe. It took weeks for it to go away, but

it

didn't kill him, just extremely painful and long lasting. He did not get any

atrophy from the bite either, but was treated immediately.
