Are the drugs to blame or......... ?

Dear Friends,

 

We are coming across a lot of news regarding adverse drug reactions and the news

of the drugs being pulled out of circulation because of them. We have scientists

trying to point out that these drugs cannot cause all the problems that are

being attributed to them. So then what is causing all these side effects?

 

This brings us to the core of the problem. The drugs are proving to be

disastrous not only because of the harmful chemicals present in them but also

because they are being wrongly administered under the instructions of a mode of

treatment that knows precious little about either health or disease.

 

The alternate health practitioners have been warning time and again that health

is much more than being just symptom free and that disease is dynamic in nature.

What does this mean? To know this we must understand the term " metastasis " .

Metastasis means the movement of disease from one level to another. That is,

once the disease force is wrongly treated at one level it tends to travel to a

deeper level and affect the life force in more ways than one. The medical

community is yet to come to terms with this concept and that disease is a morbid

force and not just an " attack of germs or cells going mad " .

 

Recently I had posted on the dangerous effects of tackling skin problems at the

external level without trying to understand the root cause of the problem. THE

SKIN not only protects our body from the external environment but also HELPS IN

ELIMINATING DANGEROUS TOXINS. When an attempt is made to interfere with this

toxin elimination process it results in severe damage to the internal organs and

also the nervous system.

DRUG ALERT: Psoriasis therapy causes serious infection

 

A special alert has been issued this week about the psoriasis drug

Raptiva (efalizumab). It's a possible cause of anaemia and a series

of life-threatening infections.

This is bad news for psoriasis patients as the drug is intended as a

'last resort' therapy, and to be used only if all other treatments

have failed - not that we suppose for even a moment that it's being

prescribed that way.

New studies into the drug have discovered that the drug has been

connected to cases of immune-mediated hemolytic anaemia, and to

life-threatening infections such as necrotizing fascutis, tubercolous pneumonia,

bacterial sepsis, severe pneumonia with neutropenia, and a worsening of any

existing infection.

The reactions tend to occur within four to six months of starting the drug.

The drug was licensed in 2004 in Europe and the USA, which means it

passed all the safety tests. At the time, regulators were aware that

the drug might cause infection, but the severity of the reaction has

not been realized until now.

Other side effects include headache, chills, nausea, flu syndrome and fever.

The drug works by suppressing the immune system, which explains the

extent of the infections. The jury's still out as to whether the drug might

increase the risk of cancer, but no doubt we'll be told in the fullness of time.

Therefore I would once again point out that the problem lies not only in the

chemicals that are being prescribed for us but also in the method and process of

administration. The system itself is faulty.
