[drugawareness] Notice of FDA Advisory Committee Meeting on

Drug Safety

 

 

 

 

 

We've been informed that the FDA committee meetings which were

promised on the issue

of adult suicidality and antidepressents have been tentatively

scheduled for the

following dates:

 

October 26-27

November 3-4

December 8-9

 

These meetings have traditionally taken place in Bethesda, MD, but we

will confirmed

dates and times as they become available.

 

If you or a family member has been harmed by these medications,

please consider offering

your personal testimony at these gatherings. It is widely believed

that personal

testimonies last year before the FDA were the impetus for getting the

black box warnings

on SSRIs advising of the risk of suicidal ideation in the pediatric

population.

 

When information becomes available on how to request time at these

meetings, we will

pass that along as well.
