Can anybody tell me anything about homeopathic remedies and whether

they work? My youngest brother has been in treatment for hepatitis-C

(contracted from transfusion in Canada) and has been maintaining using

a-lipoic acid. Some of the other things the doctors tried made him a

whole lot sicker than the disease. Now he's come across a medicine

called Verticil that is made from an oleander plant.

They do work otherwise the science would not have been so popular

today. Try doing a google search and reading up on homeopathy. However

you should know that simply using a homeopathic remedy is not

homeopathy. The remedy should be administered based on homeopathic

principles. Therefore seek out a classical homeopath.

Or use a combination remedy.. in other words if you dont have the knowledge

to know WHICH remedy you need for sinus ailments for instance.. get a sinus

ailment combo which contains them all.. then it's a sure hit. That's what we

do :-) Has never failed us.

DH and I have used an adrenal support homeopathic remedy with

success.

I got it to use when hay fever symptoms were bad, but it also helped

when I was particularly tired one morning.

DH had a hay fever attack that, if it had not been on a Saturday, he

would have gotten in to a doctor for a shot of a steroid. Because it

was Saturday, he let me give him the adrenal support remedy, and

within

10 minutes he was feeling noticeably better. He never did get a

steroid shot that season.

Just what I was trying to warn against. Combination remedies are not

homeopathy. Homeopathy cures while combination remedies simply

destroy the symptoms without seeking out the real cause behind them.

They are no different from allopathic prescription drugs.

People prefer combination drugs because they have been educated the

allopathic way and think in terms of named diseases. They also seem

to think that one remedy should fit all cases which bear similiar

names. That is far from the truth and is not the holistic viewpoint.

Kindly go through the links provided in this group to know more about

holistic cures.
