CODEX is legislation pending RIGHT NOW (passed in the Senate, debating in the

House slightly different version, going to committee after the House passes)

that will make natural suppliments regulated and require a Px for them. Simply

put: Do you want to have to go to the doctor for vitamins or Glucosamine? We

will and much, much more if we sit by and allow drug co's to buy control of

what's left of our medical free choice.

 

These Corporate Theocratic people in the Bush Mafia want control of every aspect

of our lives:

- They already control what we know - they own the media

- We have no effective means to protest what they're doing - any way of

protesting would get you arrested now

- They are turning us all into mandatory Christians - passing legislation that

belongs in the Middle Ages in England

- Govt is taking away our social security, encouraging the exporting of our

jobs, giving all our tax money to the rich instead of creating programs to help

the growing poor

- Insurance co's control what we can and can't have in medical care

- Dr's have the franchise on writing prescriptions for medication

- Drug co's control the price of meds and even write the guidelines that Drs use

to prescribe meds (like the new lower blood pressure unacceptable threshhold)

- The government won't allow us to get our drugs from Canada, and won't

negotiate with drug co's for lower pricing - thus keeping our prices overly

inflated

 

So now someone who wants (as John Ervin said below) to control their own health,

by pursuing their own medical destiny through alternative non-mainstream means,

will lose that right too. We are in the process of being stripped of our ALL

our rights in America in a matter of a few short months (while the media has us

all distracted watching the other hand). Again, I say what I've said before:

Mom-and-pop America will soon be asking all the usual questions down at the

barber and beauty shop, " What the hell happened here? How could this have

happened to our country? Why didn't we see this coming? Why didn't somebody do

something to stop it? What are we going to do now? How are we going to get out

of this mess? " And the rest of the world is right now asking the same question

about us that we asked about Nazi Germany, " Why don't the American people do

something to stop them? " Well... why don't we? CODEX is one of the fronts in

the battle. Americans need to step up and spend 10

min calling their Congresspeople on this issue. This battle is win-able.

 

I called all 3 of my Congresspeople yesterday and told them to:

 

1) Stand up and fight determinedly against CAFTA when it gets to committee.

2) Remove the CODEX clause from CAFTA, if CAFTA itself can't be stopped.

 

Any input to Congress at this point could change the balance of power on this.

We did it on the filibuster and Karl Rove and Downing Street - we can do it on

this. It's our medical freedom that's being revoked. Here are some previous

In the Senate, CAFTA passed in a very close 54-45 vote on June 30th. WE HAVE NOT

LOST! This was the closest Senate vote on a trade pact since NAFTA. The bill

still has to pass the House, where opposition to CAFTA is much stronger. We have

always known that we will have to defeat CAFTA in the House, not the Senate.

 

CAFTA came out of the House Ways and Means Committee on Thursday, in a 24-11

vote. The House is expected to vote on

CAFTA sometime after the week-long 4th of July recess. Representatives should be

in their districts until Congress

begins again on July 11th. Please take some time during the next week to educate

your representatives about what you think about

CAFTA! Now is the time to act!

Yeah, Pat, I heard about this on Jim Hogue's WGDR broadcast, last Friday, where

I was a guest last year. His guest last Friday was Craig Hill who was billed as

" the leading Vermont researcher on 9/11 " and Jim himself is no slouch on that

subject, himself, having interviewed Sibel Edmonds, Wayne Madsen, Eric Hufschmid

and Dr. David Ray Griffen, some several times. His guest, Craig Hill, a fellow

Vermonter, was asking listeners to get the word out on a Big Victory for " Big

Pharma " recently, in Rome, he spoke of the " codex " where there was some law

passed that was going to model itself on the German system --that was all I

caught-- that would mandate that all supplements and vitamins be

state-controlled, and available only through a scrip. Wow. What a mind job.

Anyway, I intend to be actively investigating and writing about this issue,

since it's just that close to my heart: the only reason I'm alive (and perha! ps

several other family members, too) is because I've been

self-treating through supplements and other things that doctors don't have a

clue about, even the holistic ones here. I got my life-saving tip through a

Mexican doctor, at IBC (International Bio Care Hospital) in Tijuana, when he

was up our way here giving a lecture, and the information he gave me had a huge

and direct impact in bringing me from death's door. Gracias, Senor El Doctor,

muchisimas gracias. I went down that way recently to have a tooth pulled, and

saved a Cool Grand, with small expense, since it required sutures and oral

surgery. On the Tijuana Trolley I met a former NYPD detective who said that he

made trips there twice a week for Ozone therapy (oxygen, which is quite

effective against cancers, AIDS, and many other things, since oxygen is the

basic " house cleaner " of the universe, for starters). We walked over the border

together and he showed me his PD card,! of which I only caught " Reginald, " but

he nodded and said " I know " when I told him Cuba based its

health system, pretty much, on oxygen therapy. We also agreed that you'd never

see it in a market driven economy, since you simply can't make enough money on

something so basic.

 

But expect all these health related issues to get worse, before they get better:

just like curing a systemic cancer. I truly believe that until we can remove

the entire cancer, the whole closely interknit cabal of Bushland, we're going to

be agonizing through the " last throes " of fascism (to quote a line of Cheney

which he used to describe the Iraqi insurgency).

 

I'm putting my money on getting over our last throes in the U.S. before Iraqi

security forces get over theirs. And don't let me be the last throwing down

money on the table on that one.....

Gucci, were traumatized by all the hippie sandal makers and

vendors cutting into their leather action, and got their Big Boyz together in

Japan the next week and with one stroke of the pen raised the wholesale price 4

times more expensive, thus changing the dynamics of the industry, till this day,

in a huge way, and putting out of business most of my friends who were simple

artisans. The tyrants of our world do these things every day, look it up.

Many critics of administration policy, fault the American people for our

passivity and apparent indifference to what's happening, while simultaneously

and enthusiastically supporting the notion that media " control what we know, "

and are owned by ultra-rich conservatives. We can't have it both ways. Any

serious strategy for positive and humanitarian change in this country, must

first deal with media.
