Guest guest
Hi there! You have asked for member responses to the Codex posts. I am thankful you continue with other health posting. It has been difficult for me to read the Codex posts, over the last months. It is overwhelming and discouraging, induces a feeling of helplessness. Naturally, this is the effect the people behind Codex want. We are to feel powerless, incapable of acting. Please be very careful not to portray the situation as doom and gloom, and continue to offer options for people to act (the remedy for helplessness). Also, please be mindful that not all your readers are Americans, and so urging us to contact U.S. congressmen, is not an option for everyone. On occassion, I note options offered for Canadians, and this is helpful. I have forwarded an Alt. Med. post on Codex to my Naturopath, who is well connected. Some of our local Health Publications have written articles on Codex, so it's not completely unknown. Speaking to people about it, generally, I find the subject of Codex met with: " What's that? " There are activists in Canada, who have been warning about the Pharma take over of nutritional supplements. They don't want supplements banned, they just want to swoop in like pirates, and have absolute control and ownership of them. This was from a former Health Canada employee. Some of your member postings are right (in my view), in that " They " own the system and have created it, and we cannot fight them on their own turf. They are likely vulnerable, nevertheless, and knowing where and how to battle outside their turf seems one way of approaching this. Surely there are brilliant minds, who can guide us in how and where. Please continue your updates on Codex, but please be mindful of the effects upon us. Continue to advocate actions, and I like the suggestion of a goal of informing 4 persons a day. Just my thoughts. Steve
