So You Feel Rotten, Tired, and Overwhelmed?

I suppose we have all had the feeling at one time or

another. Feeling rotten, tired and overwhelmed. It

seems quite hopeless. Here are some tips for finding

your way back to the main trail of life.

The first thing to bear in mind is that you need to

restructure your time and expectations.

Allow yourself the time to accomplish one thing.

What are some worthwhile health goals? I would like

to suggest the following three goals: move your body,

move your bowels, and have more energy.

What are some small goals for moving the body? For

example, make this deal with yourself. Every time I

say to myself, I am so tired, I am going to do 5 push

ups. Or, every time I watch the news, I am going to do

10 crunches. Every time I do the dishes I will do 5

squats. Or it could be “ I am going to lift my arms

and make three circles in the air.”

Small exercises done regularly add up to significant

change in your body’s muscular system. The back

becomes stronger, straighter, and you have more

energy, more energy to move more and feel better. The

intestines are stimulated and toned. Within weeks you

will notice a difference.

Moving your bowels. If your bowels are not moving,

make this deal with yourself. I will eat spinach

today. Eat two simple cans of spinach or stir-fry two

bunches of spinach. So what if you don’t like spinach.

Just eat it. I’m sure you can jazz it up somehow.

Spinach is gentle and good for you, and it’s

satisfying. When your bowels move, you will have more

energy.

Moving your body and moving your bowels will give you

more energy.

Don’t underestimate the power of small steps done

regularly. Soon you will be back on the main trail of

life.
