Guest guest
Dear Group, I'm getting lot's of flack from the peanut gallery right now. They don't like the rules. They don't like the content. Messages are coming in constantly complaining about content or asking me to justify or " explain myself " . Well here goes (again, ad nauseum). I started this group to be within certain areas to share information between like minded individuals. If you want a group outside of those areas go find a different group or start one yourself and cover the areas that please you. No, this group is not a political democracy. It is not a political entity. It is not a country, city, state, etc. It is a privately owned group, at this point open to the public. We do not have elections, votes on issues, decisions, taxes, elected officials with divisions of duties, etc. You are a guest/member here. You membership gives you the right to read messages and use our resources for learning. It does not give you the right to change things. It does not even give you any inclusive right to post. Posts are evaluated and possibly posted based on the content of the posting and the amount of traffic of posts received. At this point, and at the size that we have grown to, it is more like an online free magazine which allows some reader participation. We are not here to debate a lot of issues outside of the areas we cover. An example. We do not allow posts discussing allopathic solutions or praising allopathic medicine. Not all of it is bad so why not? Most agree that some tramua medicine is very usefull and necessary also, but there are already millions of outlets for information on allopathic medicine. They already have plenty of information out there without us covering it here also. This group is not about that. It is about an alternative. It is about natural healing. Yes, we point out and share information on things about allopathy. But, we are sharing information that is of interest to like minded people, from our point of view, not some open ended discussion about the relative merits of one versus the other. Most people here have already made up their minds on that issue. Most like minded people here do not want allopathy or even to debate about it. That is why they are here, otherwise they would be in some allopathy oriented group. Those that haven't probably do belong to some allopathy oriented groups too, but that doesn't mean that because they are members there also that they have the right to post that information here. So, I am not going to " splain myself " further on every issue that you may want to contest. I have tried numerous times and almost always it never satisfies the person demanding that I explain myself, they usually will prolong it forever and choose to " not see " , as really what they are seeking is to change the group to suit them. To those please reread the part at the top of this message. regards, Frank
Guest guest
I belong to several groups and each group moderator exercises his/her right to post or not post the information I submit. Anyone who thinks they should be able to post whatever they want must be unfamiliar with groups. The moderator has to live with the decision to post or not post information and I believe he should have total freedom in this regard. After all, it is his/her group and the buck stops at his/her door. Frank has stated time and again his intention to provide a body of information that has value in helping others be healthy, safe, and informed. I like the way the group has evolved to reflect concerns about the political health of our country. I like the mix of information. If I were to write an indignant letter asking why such and so was not posted and demanding an explanation, I would expect to be thrown out of the group. I have to wonder who these people are who keep bugging Frank in this way. Why don't they start their own group or join another group. One dissatisfied member started his own group because he wanted a group that strictly restricted its conversation to natural health issues, but the group didn’t get any posts and died. Another group I joined posts all of these weird religious debates and sometimes shaming comments. It had so much junk to weed through, that I gave up trying. Other groups were of so little value I put them on “no individual email” and eventually forgot about them. It isn’t as easy as Frank makes it look--so don't look a gift horse in the mouth and appreciate what you have while you have it. If you don’t like this group, for goodness sakes don’t waste your time on it, but please recognize that many of us value this group above the others and appreciate the information it provides.
