Guest guest
I had a total hysterectomy when I was 51 after the diagnosis of uterine cancer. Six years later I am supposedly doing fine (I'm not... have many other health problems that I try to address as I educate myself about alternative methods). I, like you, do not want to be on allopathic medications, have been on several, but have been going off some of them. I am trying to really learn about herbal and alternative medicine so I can understand what my body needs. I too feel a need for the balancing of hormones since the body is not able to make them all any more. I use the progesterone creams sold in health food stores, but truthfully I don't know how much they do to help. There are saliva tests available that show what your hormone levels truly are and I believe these are the most accurate tests for hormone levels. I haven't done this, but would like to do it, but this is rather expensive and you have really want the information and then you would have to find someone who could help you balance your hormones as person is unique in their makeup. I would also like an enlightened view on this. Am open to all suggestions. Linda
Guest guest
A good friend of mine was ready to have a hysterectomy for fibroids. I suggested she start using a natural progesterone cream and she is beginning to see her fibroids shrink after 4 months on the cream. I told her to please look online and find information on hysterectomy side effects. Her doc had just said it was a cure all for all her problems w/o telling her about side effects. I told her about another friend whose doc clipped her bladder nerve during a hysterectomy and now constantly dribbles. I wonder if they suggest so many hysterectomy's so they can make their golf course dues easier? Then of course the pharmaceutical companies will also make out by putting you on poison pills indefinitely. It's a win win for the doc and their pharmaceutical buddies. There are many things you can do to balance your own hormones, foremost using a good natural progesterone cream. My life was changed drastically in just two weeks on the cream. Many creams contain estrogenic compounds, you want to make sure you buy one w/o any additives. . For instance, glycerin will keep it from absorbing, some contain propylene glycol which is an antifreeze. Progesterone is the mother of all hormones which is eaten up by estrogen and phytoestrogens. I do have a paper on additives, ingredients and price of many natural progesterone creams that I can email to anyone who would like.
