Guest guest
The 'Flavr Savr' tomato http://archives.cbc.ca/IDC-1-75-1597-10980/science_technology/genetically_modifi\ ed_food/clip1 It seems like the perfect produce. The " Flavr Savr " tomato is the first genetically modified (GM) food to be approved for commercial sale. Calgene Inc., the developer of the tomato, says the GM tomato is tastier, firmer and fresher than a regular tomato. But not everyone is convinced. Although genetic modification is widely accepted when used in insulin or the human growth hormone, when it comes to the food supply many Canadians are wary, as heard in this radio report. _________________ JoAnn Guest mrsjoguest DietaryTipsForHBP www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/Genes AIM Barleygreen " Wisdom of the Past, Food of the Future " http://www.geocities.com/mrsjoguest/Diets.html !
