Guest guest
SSRI-Research@ Fri, 27 May 2005 14:50:12 -0000 [sSRI-Research] Medicines Act From Edward Priestley. The Medicines Act 1968 in the UK makes it a criminal offence to say what chemicals are in any specific drug or how it came to be passed as safe for the public. About two years ago 13 of the world's leading medical journals including The Lancet in the UK and JAMA in the USA said they had had enough of all the fraudulent medical papers playing up benefits of drugs and playing down side-effects to sell more drugs. They said they would refuse to publish any more medical papers unless the writers could show that it was not financed by a drug company. Last year it was reported that one international drug company in Italy was in court on charges of using nearly 150 drug sales reps. to bribe 4,400 doctors with over £150 million to prescribe more of their drugs. I have a long list of all these goings on in a couple of pages I have written on the subject from my massive files. Soon all to be on a coming website www.medicinesandillness.com Not yet available.
