Guest guest
Dear Group, JoAnn Guest May 07, 2005 07:48 PDT Dear Group, I am privileged to be a part of this great forum. Many of the articles I submit are written with my own personal experiences in mind. I believe modern civilizations and americans in particular have a problem with fats and oils. I believe this is one of the first areas we should research whenever we have serious problems with our health. Ordinarily we wouldn't link these problems to diet. Although there may be exceptions this usually is the source of the problem. When we start to have health problems, we should take another look at our diet for it can have irrovocable health consequences. Americans ingest way to many fats and fried foods. This is evident from the fast food consumption and now our youngsters are reaping the consequences. Much has been said about obesity in our younger generation. The link is obvious. Our kids are just obsessed with fast foods. Little wonder as they are targeted by the fast food conglomerates. So many articles have been written about the obesity epidemic yet Clinton and others just think they can solve the problem by forming new organizations and spreading false propaganda. It doesn't take a big leap of logic to know that one can lose weight by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, but it does take a little motivation to succeed. This is not something that we can accomplish by setting up a new agenda, but by everyone of us trying to help our children and grandchildren on a personal basis. It is not going to be easy, but this is the only way we are going to succeed. We are programmed to eat refined carbs and it is not easy to change, however once you start to make the necessary changes, you will find that it becomes easier and easier as you go along. You begin to lose your taste for lifeless foods and start to appreciate the taste of life giving nutrient dense raw varieties. I am convinced that the vast majority of illnesses are just a lack of enzyme rich nutrient dense raw food. When we start to provide our bodies with the fuel that they need to function each day then the healing will begin. Until then, you may as well just visit your doctor, because you are not going to improve anyway. Of course, doctors just shrug their shoulders when you mention dietary changes. If they ever admitted that diet would heal, their entire career would be destroyed. They are committed to keeping you from educating yourself about alternatives from vitamin E to Romaine lettuce! for they know if you ever truly learn that your diet makes a difference they would not be able to keep " practicing " on you. My illness was truly a wake up call and a real learning experience! All my life I had minor symptoms leading up to a more serious illness. Now I'm happy to say that I have NO SYMPTOMS. They have all been alleviated. My problems were cardiovascular in nature, however even if yours are not, I know that the same principles will help you, for the principles of health remain the same....even in the case of advanced cancer. Dr. Lorraine Day and others are living proof! I wish you all the best and I wish you the same success that I had in regaining your health! There are some vital changes required, but I am here to say that it can be done and our options are improving all the time, thanks to those on this group and others who are working to spread awareness!
