Guest guest
Hi there, I am searching for alternative methods to help with High Blood Pressure. My boyfriend has had high blood pressure for quite a few years. Which he has always been on different prescribed meds for. I do not know much of anything about HBP, but am looking to learn, and find any experiences anyone has with using alternative methods to treat/cure HBP. Thanks for any info anyone is willing to share. Stacey

Of course orthodox practitioners would laugh and say it is impossible to correct high blood pressure with diet and supplements. The supplements can be very beneficial however I found that a good organic diet was my first line of defense over the years. I eliminated the high fat animal proteins, replacing them with alaskan salmon and water packed sardines. I found that Sardines are rich in " nucleic acids " which help to rebuild the heart and arteries at the cellular level and provide essential fatty acids that our body needs to counteract the harmful omega 6s in our diets which are at the very root of these problems. Omega 6s are too prevalent in our standard american diet. To effectively fight high blood pressure and heart disease we must eliminate all processed foods, and that includes all dairy and meat products. The dairy and meat are rich in saturated fats. Fats are very problematic in heart and artery disease! I realize that this is controversial, however I am living proof that they are a very large part of the problem! We cannot keep ingesting animal fats and think that we will be able to " fix " the problem with a wide variety of supplements. Animal fats in moderation are fine for healthier individuals, however those with heart and artery disease must eliminate them for a period of time if they wish to reverse their high blood pressure and CVD for it is the " balance " of fats that determines our state of health. The high protein diets which americans normally eat contribute to many debilitating diseases, of which cardiovascular disease is the most prominent, followed by cancer, etc. and so on and so forth. If the body had sufficient antioxidants to begin with, these problems would never occur and antioxidants are a very important preventive measure, however when there are existing blockages, although the supplemental vitamins will help, we need to make drastic changes in diet and lifestyle as well in order to correct existing problems. I realize everyone has a different approach, however I would like to share with you some things that I used to reverse my heart and artery disease. First of all I eliminated all the margarines, Benecol and Take Control included. There is NO healthy Margarine on the market! Those which market heart healthy claims are made with canola. Canola is a GMO and that just doesn't make sense to me! I got along fine using only extra virgin olive oil in everything. Olive oil has the monounsaturated fats and essential fatty acids that are necessary for the body to use for healing! coconut oils are heavy fats and have no place in a heart-healthy diet!! Now,Coconut milk is fine in smoothies. I used coconut milk itself as part of my diet while my body was healing. You will find that eliminating the heavy fats, replacing them with extra virgin olive oil that your heart arrythmias will gradually disappear altogether. Some would think thats a rather bold statement, but the 'bad fats' are at the root of the problem, really. The artery plaque will take some time to eliminate, however, with a good diet of high antioxidant organic fruits and vegetables it shouldn't be hard to do. The antioxidants in the fruits and vegetables (organic only, because free radicals in the residues contribute to these problems as well) play a prominent role in clearing the arteries. If you have a juicer that will GREATLY speed your recovery! The alkalinity of theunprocessed plant foods combined with the extra virgin olive oils just are a mighty healing tool! I eliminated all refined breads AND SUGARS as well, although I believe that Ezekiel sprouted breads are fine! www.food-forlife.com Anything made with white flour or hydrogenated fats or preservatives should be eliminated from the diet. To my knowledge there are no breads made without preservatives other than Ezekiel breads and tortillas which are kept in the freezer section of your health food stores or natural food aisles of your local grocery. Homocysteine is another name for " animal fats " . Triglycerides is another name for refined sugar. Cholesterol is made from excessive calcium or animal fats which have been oxidized in the arteries from free radicals found in fried foods and/or processed foods... (sometimes calcium from calcium supplements or calcium additives from food supplementation... which is typically the lowest quality calcium known to man) so you see how these " civilization " diets affect our heart and arteries. Atrial fibrillation is actually caused by " calcium deposits " clinging to the heart and artery walls. This is what the medical textbooks state. It is all there on the medical sites if you wish to clarify these statements. When I eliminated all of the processed foods from my diet and replaced them with healthy organic plant foods and cold water fish (sardines, etc),the symptoms ceased and I started to feel much better. I could actually climb the stairs without panting and walk a mile without getting out of breath. The best exercise is walking in the sunshine. Cholesterol dissipates very readily in the presence of sunlight, and cholesterol is not as problematic when the body creates natural vitamin D in the skin from the sunlight. The vitamin D which the body creates from sunlight is the best. Vitamin D that is added to dairy foods only tends to add to OUR problems. Vitamin D added into milk is taken from the body of sheep and goats. We all need cholesterol however in the absence of sunlight cholesterol reacts in injurious ways! I have a complete rundown of the way it works on my webpages. It is really amazing how the body works when given the right tools to heal itself. Sunlight is a necessary component and this is a wonderful time of year for outdoor exercise. It is not necessary to follow an exhausting exercise regimen, a slow walk will suffice just as well! Healing is actually a NATURAL process! when all the unnatural components are removed, the body can take over and complete the healing process for us. We need to stop panicking, relax,...step aside, remove any unnatural synthetic food, and allow the healing to " take place " . We are wonderfully and intricately made. The man- made foods are all out of the question! Just remember... " We were created in a GARDEN not a LAB " ! God Bless, JoAnn
