Guest guest
Green Tea strongly protects prostate from cancer Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia (or PIN) is a precancerous condition of the prostate. It is divided into low grade and high grade. High grade PIN frequently converts into prostate cancer at about a rate of 35% and there is no treatment given until the development of full blown cancer. PIN affects about 24% of men under 50 according to autopsy research. 62 Men with high grade PIN were given either a placebo (30 men) or a high potency Green Tea Extract where they consumed 600mg of Green Tea Catechins per day for one year. After one year only 1 man out of the 32 taking Green Tea Extract developed prostate cancer (3%) whereas 9 out of the 20 men on placebo developed prostate cancer (30%). The study was presented this week at the gathering of the American Association for Cancer Research in Anaheim, California. The researchers feel they may obtain good results in the future when they study the protective effects of Green Tea Extract on both breast and colon cancer.
