Cholesterol some will say we really know all about Cholesterol . I say

we really have yet to begin...

for reasons like this..a friend of mine.. Bob Pelikan,, his real name..

is an animal... yep and it is his liver that is making the sludge... not

what he eats.. but the processes of his liver are producing much

sludge...Cholesterol..

The Manteca business, Lard in Spanish, well the proof is that many old

folks are living long and happy lives using tremendous amounts of lard..

((where do I get these weird ideas?..)) Wall Street Journal had this

article about the massive come back of the lard business .. across the

country, particularly in Los Angeles, but across the nation the lard

eating, specially hispanics are doing fine, low blood pressure, not

always too fat, and low or normal Cholesterol..

Butter will do it? not always . not on everyone... and Ghee is almost a

cure.. the fat acids are good...so they are looking ar the fatty acids..

and are making negative statements about Trans-fatty acids....and so

yes Crisco is a hyper saturated at... so too is Coconut oil and there's

the rub.. ha . some have said coconut oil is bad.. hardens and is

saturated.. the coconut eaters are doing fine... like the lard

eaters... the coconut people are having low Cholesterol generally..

to me it could be that like strawberries, and cat hair some people are

allergic to some fats and things related?.. or like Bob since the

body needs some Cholesterol when it has none it will make it.. even make

too much of it...

kind of sorry to have to add these 2 Cents to fats.. I wish the problems

would get solved.. I have many pounds of spare , usually happy, fat to

get rid of.. Reminds me of the Chinese non fat soap... anyone ever buy

any of that?

it is a seaweed soap that will dry your skin like no other.. and

according to the label yo will loose fat..??? right...

so ...ghee.. a little work and the solids fall out of the butter.. the

fact is we are often at odds with nature continually having to do

something to nature to make it acceptable to us?. this is I am sure a

vegan premise and that is " take it as nature delivers it. " . don't heat,

don't kill it, don't fillet it and barbecue it... if its to be eaten it

will come in its own package, like a nut in a shell, or a banana in a

peel..

well that will leave us some deficient.. we have been cooking for quite

a while..Ghee

later

Jim
