I have to admit I had great fun calling family and friends in NC., SC., Tn., & KY...the " little child " " in me is so mischievous. Guest guest Posted January 7, 2002 Report Share Posted January 7, 2002 Janet- Whe my family moved from CA to Vermont last summer we drove through Wisconsin(beautiful- a lot like vermont) and stopped in Madison- what a great co op you have(Willy St market)- I love how they have a " nursing mothers corner) and play area- and one of the best selections in the country!) We were starving after driving through wyoming, s dakota and minnesota- nothing to eat from boise to madison!!! (Because of the student protests of the Vietnam war and the bombings that occurred here in the 60's. One of the fore front student protesters later was mayor of the city and now owns a biggest juice shop on State St). We have several nice Co-op's, progressive thinking, and great community involvement. I moved here from rural NC, imagine that change! Ha! If any of you pass this way again, give a call, I am always open to weary travellers, scentful brothers & sisters. Vermont is beautiful, my brother lived there in the 80's and when I skied, Vermont was my east coast favorite.
