Guest guest
I am new to this whole thing and would like help from the people in the know. Does anyone know of a good program that is good for building/publishing websites? I want something that is easy to understand but yet looks professional. I've checked the local stores (Best Buy, Curcuit City, and places like KMart and Wa-mart) and have found all sorts of programs but don't know which one is any good. I make body care products and am starting to dabble in aromatherapy and would like to build a website for my product. Your help is much appreciated and any advise will be well taken. Thanks in advance, Michelle Shirley Buckeye Cove Soap Co. Plymouth, Ohio P.S. Your group is wonderful!!! I enjoy it so much and have learned more than ever. I'm a freelance web designer and do mostly hand coding; but Netscape Composer comes in very handy for me for many things. I have friends who don't know anything about building websites, and she used Composer and found it very simple to use. I wouldn't touch FrontPage with a 10-foot pole. It seems to have its own private language and creates problems that wouldn't be there if regular (normal) web language was used. -- Sandy

I use Allaire's HomeSite ... If you want an example of work I've done with it .. here is a site I am in the process of making for a local restaurant: http://home.attbi.com/~chrisziggy1 > I've checked the local > stores (Best Buy, Curcuit City, and places like KMart and Wa-mart) > and have found all sorts of programs but don't know which one is any > good. You can download Home Site and use it free for a month http://download.cnet.com Also, you can search for other web building programs there and many have free trial periods > I make body care products and am starting to dabble in > aromatherapy and would like to build a website for my product. Guest guest
Hiya! I write a lot of my own coding, but other than when I don't have time for that, I'd go with any free one, maybe go to http://www.zdnet.com and then to downloads and they'll have an entire list that you can download for a free trial, probably 30 days or so, enough time for you to get a basic site up Front page, no way! Microsoft Works.. there " is " a reason that it makes number one on the top 10 oxymoron lists of the year <grinz> three years running........... Let's see.. you can use Composer if you've got Netscape. Or download a trial of one of these: Coffee Cup Homesite Trellix Web Or.......sign up for a free site say on geocities or somewhere like that.. they usually have their own programs for site building and you can use them all you want.. when you're finished you can always move your site to another host.........or leave it there! Good luck to you and Welcome!!!!!!!! Hugs, Marilyn shlyshrly wrote: > I am new to this whole thing and would like help from the people in > the know.
