So, I'm at the store(s) today shopping around for drapery and bedding

sets (I got a gorgeous down comforter for X-mas and I need a duvet cover

for it, so I figured I'll actually get a matching room set) .. and GOSH

I am at a TOTAL loss! It is SOOO confusing to try to even figure out

what the heck items they use in the (fabulous looking) displays, let

alone figure out how much any one of those display beds REALLY costs in

the end! *LOL* ... Oh but what a luxury it would be to have a totally

matching, opulent bedding and drapes set and THEN even get a nice and

matching set of drapes for both windows in the living room ... SHEESH ..

it is really hard (and expensive) to live like some kind of stylish

person *LOL* OH and I looked at material too .. to make my own drapes ..

and really .. its not any cheaper to make them myself (and a LOT more

hassle).

Tell me about it! It's sometimes more expensive to make your own than to

buy the darn curtains and drapes. That really bugs me!! LOL

Hello

I feel pretty fortunate because we live near the newly opened Garnet Hill

outlet in Franconia NH...

They have the most beautiful bedding and textiles- and the outlet prices are

amazing! It is hard to find matching sets, but their stuff is so beautiful

that it blends well...I managed to find living room curtaains... but I need

more- and am working on a very limited budget!!! Next weekend we are going

to Montreal to IKEA for their sale....yikes...

I wonder how people affoprd to " redecorate " and hire decorators, etc- Im

having quite a time of piecing it all together the first time!
