Hi Autumn (all)

That sounds like similar problems to what my dog Nugget had ...

A really nice " brand name " Dog Shampoo and Conditioner is the one from

Aubrey :) It really helped her skin and makes them smell nice for a good

long time too!

Also that biting sounds like your pup has what is called " hot spots " ..

similar to dry skin/eczema patches ... we started doing constitutional

homeopathy treatments for her under the supervision of a Homeopathic Vet

(which included thuja and graphites) and also used a VERY thick and

sticky salve on open sores. The thicker and stickier the salve the less

they wanna lick it off (and of course no questionable ingredients were

contained in it) .. If I can find the recipes for them and/or the one

really good brand I'll let ya know (maybe it was Halo, but I'm not 100%

about that now?)

ARW, The first thing I would do is change his food! My Rosie suffered for

years before a vet finally told me she was probably allergic to something in

her diet. Everyone else wanted to treat with shots, etc....... to no avail.

Any way, I changed her food to Naturo Max lamb and rice and she never had an

itch again. Unless , of course, a flea was dumb enough to get on her. LOL

She was allergic to flea saliva too!. She would run to me and sit there very

still until I found it !

I now feed my other two dogs and three cats Holistic Solid Gold. NO

preservatives and NO by-products . HTH's, Deonia
