Butch,

As I understand the Jasmine Chris offered is GC tested and is

clean of all chemicals. Correct!

Hi Yvette,

Absolutes are solvent extracted oils produced by a multi-step process

which involves washing and extracting aromatic plant parts/flowers with

a solvent such as hexane, which is the most rapidly evaporating chemical

known. After the hexane evaporates a waxy substance remains and it is

called concrete. The concrete is then extracted using a solvent such as

ethanol. Finally, the ethanol is evaporated and we have absolute.

Chris toured a Rose Concrete factory in Turkey and when her website is

back up you will be able to see a photo of the concrete.

An Absolute is NOT an essential oil .. an essential oil is also a

volatile oil that's extracted through steam-distillation, hydro-steam

distillation or hydro-diffusion. Some folks like to include the

cold-pressed citrus oils in the category of essential oils .. but I

won't because I am still a purist in this regard.
