Ah, you are offended. I'm sorry.

That was not my intent. I'm sorry I should have sent that privately,

thought about that after it was too late.

I just dont' know about metals and I find I tend to push things to the

limit on things like grinders. I cant' find anything tough in stores and

I guess I've just about given up.

Please do not send me one on those grounds. I couldnt' use it with that

hanging over me.

I do want to buy one.

Again, my post was not based on mistrust of you and your products. I

just wanted to know about them.

-Ilene, now depressed 'cause you are offended and mad at me.

Hi Ilene,

> I suppose this is a stupid question to ask the seller, :)

Why? Would I lie to sell something? :-(

> but just how tough are these things?

Solid Brass is Solid Brass and I have some I've had for years. That's

all I can say. In fact, I have a number of them that are antique and

there is NO DIFFERENCE in the construction. Can it break? I expect so

... few things can not be broken. I broke the case on one years ago ..

it hit the kitchen floor and cracked. Must have had a fault line as

that's unusual.

> Someone just sent in a tip to clean them between with white rice. Will

> they do that?

I read that on this list. I don't know .. but it sounds logical. I

know that soap and water is not the correct way. I've never cleaned one

of my grinders. I have a number of them and I don't use the same one

for coffee that I use for Oregano and Rosemary because I'm sure the

odor/taste of the herbs would bleed into the coffee regardless of how I

tried to clean it.

> I keep picturing 'suivenier' grinders that won't hold up. Sorry butch

> but I am a suspicious person. No offence intended.

Then I would recommend you not consider buying one. And for that

matter, if folks are suspicious of me or think I could pass off bad

stuff, they'd do well to not buy anything from me. :-) I sure as hell

would not buy from someone I didn't trust.

No offense accepted .. just a bit of surprise.

> If they are that tough, I'll buy one.

They are as tough as I have stated .. no more or less. I think it's

best you not buy it .. I think I would much rather send it to you as a

Christmas gift .. and I intend to. I have your address in Dafter, MI.

:-)

There are only 11 left now of the 80 or so I started with so thankee

folks for the purchases and I hope you are all satisfied. If you're

not, lemme know because as with everything else I sell, I guarantee

satisfaction.
