Guess that I'm keeping the hard to use one > for myself.. > Sandi You opened it right. They don't have threads and the fit is tight so it takes some wiggling to make it fit till it wears down a little bit. Turn it around and around a few times after it is fitted and it will make it easier next time - but we don't want it to be too easy to the point they get loose. For anybody who missed it .. here's some info on the grinders. The handle is in the top .. take the top off. Also, that's where you put the coffee beans or whatever. When you crank it, whatever is in it will pulverize and fall into the bottom .. and that is removeable too. That one screw in it holds the guts in .. the part that grinds .. take that out and you have a decorative paperweight only cause it won't grind anymore .. ;-p Also ... this is the ONLY list I offered the grinders and shepherd lanterns to .. and there was a heckuva lotta them rascals sold on this list. We packed all that stuff well but if any of you received one of the lanterns with broken glass .. don't be bashful .. lemme know cause I always make things right with a smile. Finally, this is what is left and this is the last offer afore I take this to another list .. ;-p ALL of the Brass Lanterns are gone ... as for me. I'm partial to copper .. I think the manipulation of copper is a fine art and I have loads of antique copper in storage in Tennessee - and I mean like 600 year old plates and the like. How do I know the age? Because way back when, large copper plates were difficult to craft and they were presented as valuable gifts .. with the name of the craftsman and the date of production on the back .. either in Ottoman Turkish or Armenian .. got both. Later, they were sometimes given again as gifts for weddings and the like and a second date would be etched on it - very interesting history the manipulation of copper. If you wanna read about that history, I've written it on my Turkish website - so just go here http://www.BSI-hq.com/copper.html Anyway .. what I have left is: Copper Shepherd Lanterns ... Small .... 2 .... $ 9.50 ... Medium .. 10 .... $10.50 ... Large ... 4 .... $11.50 Brass Hand-Crank Coffee Grinder/Spice Mills ... 15 or so ........ $14 And I'm gonna offer this to another list come Monday morning .. ;-) And y'all keep smiling, Butch http:///www.AV-AT.com
