Hello all

All this time Ive thought Ive been SOOO accurate with my bottle filling with

my 10 ml pipette calibrated to 1/10....

I have been filling it to the " 0 " and emptying it for my 10 ml bottles, and

filling it to 5 and emptying it for 5's...

well there is the little space at the bottom, below the 10, and when I count

all the way up- I would actually be putting 11 ml and 6 ml....

So is the key to fill to the correct amount, and empty only to the 10?

Now I am confused- and my customers have been getting a good deal!!

It makes it more difficult to not be able to just push the pump and empty

completely...

Anyone?!?

Hi,

I may not be right, I'm digging this out of my chem lab memories from years

ago, but I think if you have one of those calibrated pump pipettes, if you

fill it to the 10 ml mark and then dispense it, you are getting the full 10

mls, no more than that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please (DH isn't

home to ask, he's the chemist)

Hi Michelle,

I was told by the people I buy my pipettes from, which is a lab, that, you will

get a little bit " more " if you do that - don't ask me how we're supposed to

figure it out right!!!!!!!!!!!! And I've done the same as you

have............cuz of not wanting to go " under " the ml amount and give people

less than they buy! (grrr!!!)

By the way, I e-mailed you off-list but it came back the other day, so I'll say

it onlist - Congratulations on starting up your business in Vermont,

Congratulations on the new upcoming little one.................and did you ever

find any baskets? :)

Hugs.........
