Guest guest
Okayyy...my mother in law said she'd love me to make her some candles for christmas, which is great, but I asked what scent she preferred and the only answer I could get out of her was " a clean, fresh out of the shower " kind of smell...hmmmm...I'm thinking and thinking, and I'm just not sure what sort of blends to use? Any opinions? I'm planning on making her a gift basket of candles, soaps, bath salts, and whatever else I feel like making between now and then, LOL. thanks! kelly

Guest guest
Hi Kelly, Clean fresh scent out of the shower, huh? Try this just for the heck of it... a couple drops of spearmint eo with maybe 3 drops of lemon eo - stick in a carrier oil and give it a sniff - it's fresh.............one we use here. Maybe a drop of sandalwood for holding the scent too. Good luck Hugs, Marilyn Kelly Dyer wrote: > Okayyy...my mother in law said she'd love me to make her some candles for christmas, which is great, but I asked what scent she preferred and the only answer I could get out of her was " a clean, fresh out of the shower " kind of smell...hmmmm...I'm thinking and thinking, and I'm just not sure what sort of blends to use? Guest guest
Hi all, I have yuzu eo, be careful out there, there are a lot of them that are reconstituted, meaning that they mimic the scent, with other essential oils (or supposedly do, but smell the reconstituted against the pure, there's a HUGE difference) only get the GC tested pure version, it's quite expensive and well worth it. I've a teeny bit for perfume blends. Yuzu Citrus junos siebold - France/Japan I'd describe it as sweet, though not " really " sweet, herbal and a bit spicy, and as far as I know, no formal research been done on it, though anyone feel free to correct that one. I use it in perfume blends. Has been used in cooking in Japan, though with anything else, and like the other citrus oils, photosensitivity may occur. Guest guest
This is true, even teflon cooking utensils can kill birds, if the teflon reaches a high heat. It is not even good for humans.shooting7str8 wrote: Please be very careful what you put near the birds. I have heard they have very sensitive respiratorysystems.
