Howdy

I, too, to the Healthline online group to monitor YL activities...

There was recently a post in which a woman recommended to a mother of a

teething child to use EOs neat on her baby- I emailed the initial poster and

gave her some alternate info- homeopathic teething tablets and a drop of

roman cham in the bath...

I have come accross several YLers in my work(I am a massage therapist) ALL

of them have been completely convinced that YL are the ONLY pure oils, etc

etc...and totally fanatical!! I wonder if the YL org. attracts a certain

type of person or if they are extremely good at brainwashing...one of these

folks was

a physical therapist, and I have seen that several RNs use YL/raindrop(one

in nearby New Hampshire...very interesting...

and I dont even like their oils - and the prices .WHEW!!

Oh it is absolutely mind boggling to me that folks could get so darn

WEIRD over Essential Oils of all things in this world. Jeeze Louize ...

what's next - the Pied Piper Of PopTarts? Its alsmost TOO comical to me

that there are even EO " zealots " ... but people are getting hurt, so

it's not funny , it's serious! Hopefully, one day, whomever Gary Young's

little friends in high places are will go bye bye and his " Teflon Don "

status will be no more .....

I went on a joining spree for that dealt with e.o.s at one

time. I found of course many, many YL groups. I joined several without

realizing they were simply run by someone promoting their YL products.

It took a couple of days of mail before I managed to unsub from most of

them, but the letters they sent and especially all of the testimonials,

seemed rather cult like to me.

It was very, very odd. Reminded me a lot of some of the Christian Cult

groups that do recruiting around here. They constantly bombard you with

these better than true testimonials of people and lots of 'doctor'

jargon from people with a whole bunch of initials after their names.

Very freaky to say the least.

I could see how easily someone new to natural medicine or oils could get

sucked into their pyramid scheme and strange therapy trap. Sad really,

that people will prey upon people with sickness and health problems to

scam a few bucks.
